My friend got a beautiful red and gold qipao for $10 in Chinatown.

There is definitely a trend in creating white, bridal, cultural outfits, but I agree a white qipao would not work for a tea ceremony. It might work for a Western wedding.

In a tea ceremony, everything would be red. Your white would look very awkward, lol. It’s the kind of outfit that is better suited for the runway.

HisMoon :  this is how I’ve always seen it done actually. The tea ceremony in the AM, close family and friends and then the western wedding in the afternoon/evening. So long as OP has a place to host (in my experience it’s just someone’s home/backyard), that’s a nice idea too.
