I hate to say it, but I wouldn’t wear white, even if there are other colors involved, to a wedding.  As a bride, I wouldn’t care personally, but your bride (or others) might. Perhaps a picure of the outfit would help…

I’d stay away from the white too. Maybe you can find more of a tan coloured one? Or any other sort of pastel colour – shouldn’t be too hard to find.

Just wear a different color. If you want to wear a pant suit, wear any other color thats not white/ivory/cream

If the wedding is in 2 days, you really don’t have a lot of time.

Do you have a short dress that you could wear tunic-style over the white pants? That would bring more color into your outfit.

I agree with the pp’s that guests should avoid wearing too much white. If you wear the jacket and pants, no matter what color the top, it will definitely come across as a white outfit.

The picture was only an example. Of course you could wear a garment with short sleeves.

If you are not “not really sitting down with the Tiffany’s book on etiquette”, waited until 2 days before the wedding so you don’t have time to do anything else, and aren’t going to listen to responses, why did you post asking for advice?

Do you have another jacket in another color that will go with the pants?  Or, a wrap, bolero, sweater or something else in another color?  I’d stay away from white alltogether but if you have to wear the pants, could you be another color on top?  That way while you’re sitting in the pews no white will show.  I know you said you would only wear the jacket for the wedding but that is when the bride makes her grand entrance and that would be the most critical time for guests sitting in the pews not to be wearing white.
