I’ve purchased a pair of white shoes for my wedding. I will be wearing the same pair of shoes all day, and will have a ballgown for ceremony and a short ivory dress for the second half of reception.
However I’ve just received a swatch of the ivory tulle that both my dresses would be using, and it’s darker than the white of my shoes. Do I return shoes and buy the same pair in nude? Unfortunately the design doesn’t come in ivory. Would you go darker or lighter for the shoes if they don’t match?

the white you’re comparing it too won’t even be seen since that’s where your foot will be?
personally i’d go with something nude or along those lines
these are mine

ladyvk : the entire shoe is white. I’m comparing it to that part as the shoe has some glitter on (but still obviously white)
Your shoes are gorgeous!

jocelynxw : in hindsight you won’t see the shoes really all day, but if it’s going to bother you (as it would me) I’d go with a netural.
And thank you!

My dress was white and my shoes were kind of ivory, I don’t really think you could notice it

Personally I’d go with a nude/neutral shoe over white. It’s what I did.

jocelynxw : Maybe I am the only one but I think the white shoe looks more bisque and I think the tulle bunched up is darker than when its on a dress. When you said white, I thought you meant like those really starkly white satin wedding shoes. That would habe been a no. Personally I think you shouldn’t worry, you will hardly see your feet/shoes and those shoes do not scream “white white white” to me.

ladyvk : Your shoes are amazing, do you mind sharing the brand?

jocelynxw : Are those Loubs?! Honestly, this is one of those things that you’ll look back at and say, “did I even really think about that?” Trying to match shade of whites between shoes and wedding dress is overkill. It will be just perfect no matter what.
Is your dress floor length? If so, no one will everrrrrr notice. My shoes were in some photos and that’s about it.

futuremrs2020 : they’re from Le chateau ( a Canadian chain and I’m not sure if they have stores anywhere else to be quite honest)
