@Pink Asawa:  I’d dye it. That’s just me though.

Tea staining is quick and easy – and the best thing? It’s not permanent. You can do it in your kitchen or bathroom sink. Drop a large family size or 2 smaller tea bags in hot water and let it sit for a few minutes. Squeeze the tea bag(s) gently and remove from the water. Stir well and drop the veil in the sink or pot and swish around for a few seconds – a few seconds is all it needs. If it’s too dark, rinse it with warm water to lighten. If it’s not dark enough, put it back in the tea water for another few seconds.

I have a veil shop on etsy and I’ve used this method several times. No, it will not rub off at all. Once it dries, you’re good to go and you’ll have no problem at all. Your problem may come with the tulle – depending on what it’s made of, it may not take a tea stain.

I’d dye it ivory. What material is it? RIT dye may not work well but you could try that first.

Before you think about dyeing or tea-staining the veil: have you had a chance to look at it against the dress?

It’s actually a good idea to have the veil be a little lighter than the dress, rather than an exact match (it will show up better, especially in the photographs, rather than seeming to disappear into the gown). The important thing is that the undertones are complementary. As long as the veil has a warm undertone, i.e. an off-white or very pale ivory, it should work just fine. If the veil is a stark white with a cool undertone, then you might want to think about dyeing it or trying a tea-stain.
