ladies, DEFINITELY need your advice!!!
setting up a poll, but comments SOOOOO welcome!!!
WHAT’S SET IN STONE:
- ivory gown
- ivory lace on mason jars lining room
- white chairs
- ivory fabric flowers on centerpieces
WHAT I NEED HELP DECIDING (BY TOMORROW!!! EEK!)
- ivory or white pillar candle in centerpiece
- ivory or white napkins and linens (will have eggplant table runner)
- ivory or white paper for menu (invites were ivory — would like to be consistent because i liked the color of ink better on the ivory — but worrying now that it will look weird.
Worrying that if i do white tablecloths with white chairs that the ivory lace on the mason jars will look weird. should i just keep the menus ivory? is mixing and matching white and ivory ok? am i overthinking?
if so, can you show me pix? THANK YOU!!!

I think you’re overthinking it ivory and white look so similar I have a hard time telling them apart and I had both of my wedding. Most reception halls are in mood lighting so you’re probably not even going to tell a difference anyways

White linens, ivory everything else would be my thoughts. I agree with PP.

Honestly, you are going to be the ONLY person who notices the white/ivory thign. I know I freaked out a bit at first (my dress is ivory, and I want everything else white), but they are so similar that truthfully no one will notice.
Make white what you want white, and make ivory what you want ivory.

I had several shades of Ivory, and stark white happening in my wedding, so I decided to play up the color differences by adding in a khaki color and a blush color to some of my decor. My dress was Ivory, but my husband’s shirt was stark white. I tried to get him a skinny tie that matched my Ivory dress, but instead it was a lighter shade of Ivory. My flower girl’s dresses were 2 different shades of off-white, and my decor was a combination of Ivory, white, khaki, and light pink. I think it was all fine. I actually think that white and Ivory look beautiful together.

I think Ivory photohraphs better, im biased tho, ive never been a fan of stark white, and sometimes if your wearing an ivory dress, it can look a little weird

I wouldn’t mix and match. Anything ivory next to white will appear dingy.
