Ohh I want to hear the answers here! I’ve heard all these whitening kits make your teeth super sensitive. IF they’re good, I want to do it before my wedding.

I have been using Arm & Hammer toothpaste and although it tastes TERRIBLE it is totally working. I HIGHLY recommend it Wink

If those don’t work, crest white strips really do.  They make your teeth hurt at times but it’s nothing worse than a small headache and the results are worth it.

I used the Crest whitening strips.  My teeth did get sensitive, so I switched to sensodyne toothpaste while I was using them and only used them every other day, and alternated morning and night.

I use Patterson tooth whitening gel. Its only dispensed by dentists, and you use it with trays that are made from impressions of your teeth. I’m not sure how expensive this is, because Future Father-In-Law is a dentist and he set me up with it for free, but its working beautifully. In his professional opinion, its the best teeth whitening option out there.

That being said…I definitely would have gone for over the counter stuff if I had had to pay for this, so I’m sure some of the other stuff works well too. Just thought I’d throw in my two cents!

Oh and ps, I haven’t had any problem with tooth sensitivity, although it definitely did make my gums sore for the first few days. I resolved that by getting better at putting the right amount of gel (too much and it “oozes” out) and downgrading to the less strong version of the gel. Definitely not a good option if you have gingivitis or otherwise sensitive gums.

Thanks for the update! I have a dentist appointment in Feb. I’m going to ask them what they recommend. Wedding isn’t until July so I have time to do this 🙂

I used the trays and lots of the goop would come out which was kinda gross but my teeth were nice and white! I’m using crest white strips right now. It says to use them 2x a day but that makes my teeth too sensitive so I use them once a day… I’m not in a huge hurry to get them whitened so I figured I could spread it out a bit..

I use brite smile which is like 5 bucks and works great!  I went to a sporting store, bought those mouth guards that you dip in hot water and mold to your teeth while its soft. Those were 2 bucks! It is way cheaper than any strips and it works just as well.
