I know it is customary to get a gift for the bridesmaids/groomsmen and the people in the wedding party, like the flower girl or ring bearer, but do you also get your parents gifts or people I like to call “honored guests” like grandparents (keep in mind none of these people are helping with the wedding in any way)? I also read somewhere you are supposed to get each other a gift as well. What is the etiquette on who all gets gifts from the bride/groom?

@Corilee13: I do not know the tradition, but I know normally parents and grandparents are given gifts, and maybe godparents.

Besides the bridal party I plan on giving my Fiance and my mom. There are also one or two people that are not in the bridal party(their choice) but helped out a lot that I plan on giving small gifts too as well. Am I missing anyone else?

This is all so new to me it’s crazy. I didn’t know it was expected to get anyone else gifts outside the wedding party. I really should read a book on wedding rules.
