Flowers: I already made the satin rosette corsages and bouts. We will be having white roses and baby’s breath for my bouquet and for the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets.

Favors: We decided on doing a Hot chocolate/Apple cider/ and coffee bar for our guests. We would like different flavored creamers, marshmallows, candy canes, snowflake stir sticks, cinnamon sticks etc…

Hair/Makeup: The bridal party and I will be getting our hair done. I decided to do my own makeup.

Food: Apple butter pork loin and another choice of meat, two sides, salad, rolls, yummm!

DJ: This is Fiance to do. He knows a couple people who do weddings. He is slacking!

Cake flavor: We are having a few different kinds. Plain old white cake, chocolate cake, and probably white cake with a flavor filling. A family friend is making our cake so I know it will be delicious!

Oh, I’ll play! Course most of these sadly I don’t know yet. ๐Ÿ™

Wedding Date: June 7, 2014

EDIT – I realised this was on the January 2013 board after I posted. Whoops!

Engagement Length: 426 days but I’m not counting!

Colors: Shades of purple (lavender and lilac) and grey with yellow accents

Theme: Not really, just mainly causal fun

Wedding Party(#s): MOH, Flower girl, Bridesmaid or Best Man and 1 Groomsmen

Ceremony (where, time): Old mill turned into an inn near the town where Fiance grew up. There is a lovely place in front of a river, ceremony around 2-3. This is the angle our guests would approximately face. I’m thinking we’d be on the path in front of them.

Reception (where, time): Same place 6ish? We’ll be having a short ceremony (FI’s request) and then have people move over to the other building for a cocktail hour(s) while we do pictures. I also figure we’ll ask the musician from the ceremony to go as well to provide some music. Here’s the other building where we’ll have the reception. You can’t really see it but there is a patio with doors that open into the hall portion.

Dress Style: Maggie’s Judith (mocha with ivory lace overlay)

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Not sure. Having troubles finding someone in a small town.

Honeymoon Location: One of the few things Fiance decided on very early. 10 day cruise in the Mediterranean with a stop off on the way home in either Dublin or London.

Flowers: Not sure

First Dance Song: Not sure but I’m leaning towards Josh Gorban. Or as I refer to him ‘my future husband’

Centerpieces: Nothing overwhelming, I’m thinking maybe a little dish with water and a flower floating on top

Food/Menu: Haven’t decided yet but it will be local and seasonal (important to me) with veggie options (very important to me).

Cake Flavour: Don’t think we’ll be doing a cake, maybe cupcakes though

Favours:  I like the idea of doing something representative of the town he grew up in. There is a bakery there that everyone just loves (it almost closed and there was actually a protest. Seriously.) So we’re tossing around ideas of wine and donuts for everyone.

DJ/Band/Ipod: Not sure, since we both have some very odd tastes in music, the current suggestion is hiring someone to program an iPod.

Bachelorrete (when/what): I kinda don’t want one. My sister is my Maid/Matron of Honor and really she is too busy with her baby to do much of anything. Plus I’m feeling awfully old with planning a wedding currently so this isn’t a huge priority for me. Maybe a day trip to the States for some shopping. I’d love to do a wine tasting but she can’t really drink currently so who knows what will happen. It’s a long time till next year!
