- Wedding: October 2012
We have a number of people helping out with various roles in the wedding ceremony and reception who are not in the bridal party: readers, people who will help with reception setup and cleanup, the music director, musicians, the church’s wedding coordinator,…the list goes on and on. I am not sure where to stop with buying presents and cards.
I was a reader in my friend’s wedding and didn’t receive a card or gift, and she is the queen of etiquette. What say you, bees? Are cards enough? Should I get presents for EVERYONE? It’s going to add up to a lot if we do gifts for everyone, even small gifts, but I want to be gracious and show appreciation for their help.
We are planning to give gifts to our parents and the bridal party (possibly also the readers) at the rehearsal dinner. When would we give gifts to everyone else? At the wedding or later? We would have to mail presents to some helpers if we gave them later.
