I wouldn’t cheap out on your album… adorama is probably as cheap as you should go… sign up with them and hopefully you can get a coupon.

I’m not sure yet if I’m going to pay the photog to do the album or do it myself, but if I do it myself, it will be with somerset albums, but it’s pricey.

I will do albums for the parents, using adorama.  Hope this helps!

I’m also using Adoramix for my photo guestbook, our parent’s wedding albums, and our wedding album.  We only have one grandmother living and I’m not sure if she’d want one.  For everyone else in the bridal party, we’ll probably just do single photos.

Just a comment on snapfish, have you tried shutterfly?  they are exatly the same price point, but I think the shutterfly albums are 5000000x better than snapfish.  I got a coupon for free snapfish book and it was so bad, I redid it with shutterfly.  Artscow also has coupons for free books all the time, you just pay the shipping.  Just note that these wont be the greatest quality albums, but it’ll do ok.  I use these to make my vacationing books.

Future Sister-In-Law inlaw just told me about black river imaging, and i did a quick review search on them and pros seem to like them too.  for the price point they are supposedly great, but i think they may be more expensive than adorama.

well i sent off my engagement books to press monday. i should be getting it next week. we are using it for our guestbook, but also giving 2 diff copies to our parents (for their parent gifts). this is a real book style, like one in a bookstore that is a photography book.

i don’t know what to do with our wedding pictures yet. i haven’t found a good album book place. my photographer is charging $1200 for this so i’m totally doing it myself since i’m a graphic designer. but if i make it as a book again, family members can order it from my store on blurb.

I plan to give photobooks to both sides of parents. My plan is to use Photobook America as I have a couple of groupons that I got for the company.

We are sending an album to my grandmother and my husband’s parents; neither were able to attend our wedding, so I ordered 181 prints each from Shutterfly; the album I purchased has a place for a photo on the cover, so that is why I ordered an odd amount. They will be here today. Yay!!!

I also purchased each of their albums from Joanns on clearance. I got some really good deals on Shutterfly, so each album is only going to cost $8.61, not including the shipping to them, but including the shipping to us for the pictures. The albums that I got from Joanns were only $4.97 each; they had been clearanced twice, but they are really really nice and they have a place for notes for beside each picture, so I can write something beside each one.

I ordered our prints from Snapfish because the deals were better at the time. I am getting 640 prints for $25.23.

And the prints are 4″ X 6″.

I did albums for both sets of parents with Mixbook.com.  I love the quality I get with them and the level of personalization I can do!  I went all out on the books…. they are 100 pages long and capture the story of the “day” from the rehearsal to the end of the reception.  🙂

@spoonoutmyheart: i don’t know about the others but i had a good experience with blurb.com three years ago. i’d say they probably have gotten better since then in more ways than one.
