My mom because she’s the strongest person I know. She had the strength to remove us from a crappy situation when I was younger and single handedly gave me the life that I have today. Without her, I don’t know where I’d be. There’s not a person on this planet that I have more respect for. She’s a god damn super hero, if you ask me.

My mum – she worked night shift for over ten years when my sister and I were young, plus she always stayed awake to get us ready and off to school, did all the housework while we were at school AND met us from school. She never missed any event, no matter how small. I still can’t work out how she got enough sleep to keep herself going!

My Dad – he comes from a crappy, crappy family who didn’t provide any model of how tobe a good Dad, but he has always worked his butt of in a job that he isn’t that fond of to make sure we had everything he didn’t have.

My Gran – who after her husband died, moved herself and her two young children from Canada to Scotland to be near family and give them the best life possible. She is an insanely strong woman who is more like a third parent than a gran!

    I love my family 🙂

My Dad – fought cancer and won. He’s amazing.

My brother – had open heart surgery at 24 and four years later, he’s living out in Cali, met a beautiful girl, working at a movie studio as a big time manager and never let his illness or the resulting pace-maker slow him down.

My Mom – is the strongest woman I know. She has been dealt a lot of blows in her life (just read the first two paragraphs above!) and always manages to come out on top. Most recently, she finished her first novel and is working towards getting it published. It’s always been her dream and I am so proud that she finally tackled it!

To me a hero is a person who is admirable, courageous, able, brave, noble, wise, and honest–and not only that but someone who is so outstanding in these areas as to be recognized and remembered for their greatness in them.

While I love a lot of my family members–my mom is a wonderful wife and mother and everyone she meets likes her, my dad is hardworking and committed, my grandma is sweet and has persevered and grown through tons of hardships–but I honestly don’t think they’ve done anything out of the common way. If I turned out just like them I’d be very pleased, but not super surprised or overly proud of myself.

So, saying all that, I wouldn’t say my heros are “celebrities” but they are defintiely people who are more well known than family and friends–people like Martin Luther King, Eleanor Roosevelt, Amy Carmichael, the Apostle Paul, Mother Teresa, CS Lewis, Susana Wesley, Albert Einstein, Jesus.

My mom and dad- they met in college and got married fairly young. They both worked fulltime as teachers and worked on their master’s degree’s as well. They counld even afford to heat their house thier first winter liveing thing. They lived in the bed room that winter. When my sisters and I came around they both still worked full time. My father worked up the ranks in school systems and now makes enough money so my mother dosent have to work. They inspire me to be the best I can be no matter what. And make me so thankful of the luxeries I have now.

My FI- He is just my everything. When I met him I thought I would never love agian. I was depressed and had anxiety attacks all the time. He halped me work though them. He also inspired me to go to counsuling and get better. He supports me and my crazy ideas. He is the love of my life.
