I picked my best friend who isn’t in the bridal party (we decided to only have siblings as the bridal party to make it easy); and, the Fiance picked his brother, the Bridesmaid or Best Man.

My Mom and my friend (who would have been my Maid/Matron of Honor had we had a wedding party) were our witnesses. We would have had the friend who married us be the witness instead of my defacto Maid/Matron of Honor but he was too drunk by that point (long story short we signed everything WAY after the ceremony and just before the reception ended) that I decided against him witnessing.

A colleague of mine suggested having our mums sign the register.  In the UK your dad’s name and profession is listed but not your mum’s so it’s cool to have the mums on there too.

My mom was our witness for the license, and both our dads were the witnesses to sign the day of the wedding.

We’ll probably have a couple friends come by and do it, if they’re free. Otherwise, we’ll use some random strangers. 🙂

Our witnesses are his best friend and my best friend, who would have been the best man and maid of honour if we were having a bridal party. We aren’t having one either.

We had the moh (my sister) and best man.

My husbands sister had no wedding party and the bride/groom had one sibling each so they just used theM.

@LittleRiver:  How about your siblings or close friends?

@LittleRiver:  I know it’s been a few months, but what did you decide about your witness? I’m in the same boat!
