twright4770 :  Thank you! I will let you know, my wedding is next weekend! It held up fairly well the day of my trial, only had a few pieces at the sides fall out. I mentioned this to the stylist and she said she didnt add as much hairspray and wasnt as robust with the securing as she will be the day of.

I have a lot of baby fine hair and my hair stylist did an amazing job securing my low chignon.  I also didn’t want wispy pieces around my face.  She used half a hair doughnut to bulk up the bottom, about 50 bobby pins to secure it all (not kidding, at least 50), and probably half a can of hairspray or more.  It didn’t move the entire day (outside in 90 degree heat with humidity) and took at least four shampoos to get all the product out, but it’s going to look great in photos!  It felt very stiff in person but didn’t look like it, and it looks good in the iPhone photos, so she obviously knew what she was doing. πŸ™‚

twright4770 :  not as soft/curly as what you’re wanting I don’t think but you can see it looks like I have a LOT of hair.  Without the doughnut the bottom would’ve been nearly flat against my head. πŸ™‚

lwyrbee33 :  That’s really pretty.  I think it does look really soft, not as curly, but definitely soft.

You’ll need a pack of clip in extensions to fill your hair to get the look you want.  It’s doable but you’ll need to add hair/bulk.

I have fine and thin hair and my hair stylist suggested clip-in extensions. It’s the only way I’m going to get the fullness that I want. And that way I don’t have to worry about my veil falling out!

twright4770 :  I have thin and fine hair. I used clip in extensions for volume. My stylist teased the crap our of my hair and used some really great quality products alog with tons of bobby pins. Unfortunately being outside in the rain did have an affect on it, but it still looked good. Luckily my hair stylist is a friend and she came to the reception early to give me a second hair do (that was planned ahead of time as I wanted down for ceremony, but up for dancing)

I have long and curly hair. I had a big bun on our wedding day. Your second inspiration picture is one of my inspiration pictures. My stylist put a big sponge to get the look. I know there is a powder that they use to give volume maybe they can use it on your hair with a sponge. I thought the sponge would be uncomfortable but it was not.
