I was originally looking upto $2K. Once I realized I can sell the dress to recoup some of the money, I started looking at high end designers and found a dress at $4K, which after selling it should bring me close to where I wanted to spend. It still wasn’t my dream dress, but it was good enough, and I refused to try on the $10K+ dresses. Wish I had allowed myself to look at the $2-5K range before, I could’ve saved myself a lot of time and energy instead of running around to dozen stores and coming back empty handed. At the end of that shopping ordeal I realized the dress is a lot more important to me than I realized and well worth the splurge.

I didn’t try on any dresses over $1000, and got my dream dress for $500! Of course I had two dresses so I went over budget, but sold the first one.

I too did try on anything that I knew I couldnt make work. If it was a little over my budget I was ok with it because I knew we could make it work but anything outrageously over budget I did bc I knew i would find something I loved and would be devastated by not being able to get it, I am not a person who is prepared to handle that lol

The only dress I tried on out of my budget was one the sales lady slipped in without telling me. To be honest I don’t even remember it, since I was so furious once I realized what she had done.

My dream dress(es) are about in the $4000-$6000 range… way out of my wedding dress budget. I did try some on though, but luckily I found a great dress for $800 and I haven’t looked back since! 🙂

You don’t have an option of Yes but it wasn’t TOTALLY out of my budget!
My dress was only 250 over my budget and so I went for it and bought my dream dress!
