We walked into our local AAA office and used their travel agent. We had planned on getting some info and ended up booking that day since she had access to flights with better times than anything I was able to find online myself!

We did something like expedia or I donno, one of those common online airfare checkers and perfectplaces.com for our place to stay.

We worked with my friend’s mom, who is a travel agent. She. Was. Awesome. Seriously – the woman has a Plan F for every possible scenario. What if they lose my luggage? Done. What if we get there and they say we don’t have a reservation? Handled. What if the entire island sinks? No problem. PM me if you want her contact info.

we used VIP Vactions and Jennifer who can match any of the above sites mentioned plus tell you if that place is good or not. For example, I just read a string about cheapcarribean and the last post was on Couples San Souci. I was there for a wedding 2 years ago, and it was the most unkept place I have ever seen. Stains on the furniture, the beach was yuck and half the side is totally NUDE. So when I discussed what I wanted with Jennifer and said, I really didn’t like Couples, she instantly replied, oh that is because they have not renovated their resorts in years. I was like “ding” no online site would ever tell me that! I looked at her quote and found it to be a little less than anywhere else so now I have a person to call if a problem arises. BUT the thing is, she is like this renowned travel expert on TV and on the Travel Channel, so for me I also know the resort (Sandals!) knows I am her client and will take super great care of me! [email protected] is her email.

I went directly through our resort (Sandals) to do the booking. When I was ready to book, there really wasn’t much of a price difference between the resort and discount websites.
