- Wedding: December 1969
I am 36 years old, have lived on my own and am getting married for the first time. My sisters insist on throwing me a bridal shower, which I’m OK with. I figured since I have a furnished home, I could register for excursions and drinks for our honeymoon (Carnival has a honeymoon registry). The only thing is that 11 of my close friends traveled to my bachelorette party, and I would feel bad inviting them because I do not want them to spend more money on gifts for me, especially w/the wedding coming up.. make sense? Then my second issue is, who do I invite from my FMILs list? I would assume all the local people from her guest list? I assume NOT to invite out of towners since they obviously can’t come. I am doing the same for my guest list.. inviting everyone local. My reasoning is, if you’re close enough to me to get a wedding invite, then you are close enough to be invited to my shower. Thoughts?
