I took my mom and my brother the first time.  The second time I took my mom and her friend (my mom was coming from work and her friend was curious).  I actually liked having them with me because they helped when I knew something wasn’t quite right but I couldn’t figure out what it was.  They also let me form opinions first before giving theirs which I appreciated a lot.

I went only with my mom. She was the perfect shopping partner because she would 1. Fun, 2. Honest but in a polite way and 3. Not pushy.

After we found *the* dress, I wanted to think about it and we back the following weekend with my aunt and cousin (who is a bridesmaid) and my dad.

Say Yes to the Dress definately highlights some serious drama at dress shopping but in my few shopping experiences, I did see some craaaazy ladies.

My best advice is to stick to a small crowd of person/people who you feel most comfortable with, who are aware of your budget and will stick within it and who you enjoy being with 🙂

I went with my mother and 4 of my friends.  Honestly, it wasn’t stressful at all and everyone agreed with my choice so it was completely drama free.

I went once with my mom, once with BMs, once with FH, but mostly did it on my own.  I found my dress completely on my own, and I love it.

the first time i went i was on a last minute trip with Fiance to NYC because he had a job interview and i really wanted to check out Nicole Miller. so i went alone, bought a dress, later regretted it and sold it.

round 2 after selling the first dress, i had moved to a new city, so couldnt go with BMs or family, so i brought new work friends. they were great. i thought it was better than going with ppl i was closer to because i cared about their opinions, but not enough to let it get to me too much. however, i went to one last store alone and thats when i found my dress   🙂

My  mom only. She has good taste, even though our tastes are different. And despite being 41 years of age, I still need my mom to tell me if something fits right or not.

The only time I went, I went alone by choice. I never wanted to make dress shopping into a big THING, and I was afraid of clashing opinions. At the end of the day, it’s just the bride’s opinion that matters, right?

The first time I went with my mom and my uncle’s girlfriend. It was awesome and really low-key. But, since I live in another state, the rest of the times I went with my Maid/Matron of Honor, Future Mother-In-Law, and MOH’s mom. Once I thought I had found “the dress,” I went by myself to try it on again. It was a good decision.

I don’t think my mom will be terribly into it, but I’d like to go with her.

It seems like BF’s mom is using me in place of her daughter right now, so she wants to take me dress shopping.

I won’t decide until I’ve been with both, I guess.
