I’m only bringing my Mom. It’s not important for the bridesmaids all to be there

I just got the call mine just came in too. SOOOOO EXCITED!!  I’m just going to go my myself. My mom is out of state so I will send her pics. I like the element of surprise for everyone else.

I brought my groom, but we’re not super traditional.

I brought my Matron/bff. My mom lives an hour away from me so logistically it’s not convenient. She was there when I said “yes” and also when I tried it on again when it first arrived so it wasn’t a big deal.

I just went by myself. Never even occured to me to take anyone with me. I definitely would not invite your bridesmaids. Just keep it simple.

I should be getting the call in a couple of weeks myself. I want to bring my Maid/Matron of Honor or/and my mom.

Maid/Matron of Honor hasn’t seen it yet in person, she really wants to come with me next time

Simplyjess:  It’s a funny story. I was going to go alone (I like doing things alone sometimes) and my car battery died the day before the appointment. So my Father-In-Law, who has only sons and has never ever done anything like that before, volunteered! (MIL is deceased and their family is all boys except for me.)

It was super nice of him because it required driving across the city in rush hour traffic both ways. D: I NEVER would have planned that for anyone but myself! It was just the two of us, and I thought that was pretty darn cool. He’s going to be an awesome grampa.

Opinions on taking Mother-In-Law ? I did not invite her gown shopping with me (havent bought my dress yet but has been on my mind for a while!) becuase we are not super close. Or is a 2nd fitting a better time??

I went by myself because I live out of town from my parents and BMs and it never even occured to me to bring anyone.

Simplyjess:  I had my mom and sister/MOH with me.  But that’s also because I had just come from my hair trial and they wanted to be there for that, too.  I wanted at least one of them with me (it was an hour drive to the shop so that’s boring alone) but they both wanted to come.

I went by myself after work. I also went to my 2nd fitting alone. My mom came with me to the last one just to learn how to lace up the back and do the bustle. I would never have asked my bms or anyone else because it’s taking time out of their lives. As a bm I would not want to go with a bride.
