The first day it was my Maid/Matron of Honor, Mom and a Bridesmaid, we visited 2 shops. Second day it was Mom, Bridesmaid and the Mom of my out of town bridesmaid. The third visit to a store it was my Mom, Bridesmaid, Out of town Bridesmaid Mom and a good friend of mine not in the wedding. Every time we had a blast and I would treat the girls to lunch. We have great memories and stories to tell. I gave each person forms to fill out where they had a place to right comments, and draw details to remember each dress. They all gave them to me at the end of each store visit. Take a few people who will give you the honest truth, whom you can laugh and have fun with and who will make you feel special. My dress ended up being at eh second store I went to, and the  dress I tried on. The Amsale “Alexis”. Have fun and enjoy the process!

I went with my mom. My Aunts and cousins wanted to go, but I didn’t want too many opinions.

It was just me and my mom that day, it was a great experience for just the two of us to have.  Not too many opinions, but just one important one to help me pick out a dress.

The highest amount of people that I had at any appointment was 3. My grandmother, mom, and Maid/Matron of Honor. The appointment where I ended up finding my dress, I just had my mom with me. Most bridal salons actually recommend that you don’t bring a lot of people so that you can focus on what you want and not what everyone else wants.

All my BMs are out of town too. I went with my mom and my sister, and I don’t think I would have wanted more opinions/people in the room.

I took my bestfriend/MOH and one other bridesmaid. A small group of people who you can trust their opinion and judgment is the best!

I took my Future Mother-In-Law and my FI’s aunt! I live about 2500 miles away from my mom so it was impossible for me to go with her.  But I had a great time and found my dress that day.

Went dress shopping with my Mom and 2 sisters. But when I bought my dress, only my Mom was with me , it was perfect – she’s my best friend and I’m so glad I was able to share that moment with her.

I went by myself for most of it, and then just took my mom with me to try things on for the second time. I really preferred looking by myself.

I only went once and I found my dress on the first outting.  I took my mom and my two Maid/Matron of Honor.

I knew that they would be completely honest with me and it was was good that it wasn’t just my mom because she kept wanting me to try on dresses that where not my style at all!

I only went to one shop, and it was completely by accident.  Both parents and my two older sisters went with me, which is pretty amazing considering it’s a rare event to have all three of us home at the same time.  We originally went to the store to check out bridesmaid dresses, but ended up walking away with my wedding dress!

I went 4x: The first time with 2 bridesmaids, the second with mom + maid of honor, the third time alone, and the 4th time with just my mom. I would say that you should try not to go with too many people because it gets confusing with all the conflicting opinions. For me, it was helpful to go with different people but also useful to go once by myself, to see what I liked independent of the opinions of my loved ones. Take your time. Don’t feel rushed. If you love a dress, I recommend waiting 48 hours before putting down a deposit on it, just to make sure. Good luck! Post pics!
