LOL I had to go with the first random stranger we saw because we didn’t have great cell service on Mackinac Island. Laughing

I told my daughter first. But apparently Fiance had already told her his plan ๐Ÿ™‚ After that, I called my boss to tell him I’d like the next day off!

My BFF (who is also his friend). I texted her ASAP and then we called family. My mom might be kind of hurt by that knowledge, but I doubt it. When we called, after she was calmer she goes “Have you told H?” Lol.

My parents were there for the proposal, so the first person I called was my Maid/Matron of Honor.

I told my little sister. We were on our way to meet her to celebrate her graduation when it happened. I had to wait 20 minutes talking to her friends with my hand in my pocket becuause she was late. It was so nerve racking!

@ddw: My daughter was in the next room. It was not a big proposal or anything fancy.

I voted for my family before I saw the first random stranger option. We were in Washington DC, and we told the park ranger at the Lincoln Memorial, and she took our picture. It was about 5 days before we told my family and his family because we were on vacation and wanted to tell them in person.

hubs proposed when we were home one night just hanging out together. after i stopped giggling and kissing him, i called my parents, because they live in a different state than us. then, we got in the car and drove to my in-laws’ house to tell them the news in person, but they weren’t home; we ended up crashing their dinner with my sil at a nearby restaurant to tell them. and then, we called my brother and sil, and then a bunch of friends. pretty fantastic ๐Ÿ™‚

I told my roommates first because it happened late at night and I didn’t want to wake my parents. Plus, my parents already knew because Fiance asked their permission. But you can bet I called them at 6:00 AM the next day!

I called my parents immediately, texted some friends later, and called some other friends after that. We called his family the next day (but he had already told them he was proposing)

My sister! We were on a cruise (she was with us) and she wasn’t feeling great that night, but I bounded into her room, jumped into her bed and started squealing at her. ๐Ÿ™‚

I called my parents first and then immediately called my sister.  After that, some of our good friends came over ๐Ÿ™‚
