We’re staying @ a local resort for 2 days and then going back to the house as husband and wife.  Since we want to start a fam right away, mini-moons through out the next couple of years.  Also I just have an aversion to debt and credit cards.

We’re staying at a nice hotel the night of the wedding, then going home the next day.  We were planning on going on a 2-night minimoon the monday after the wedding, but it looks like Fiance will have to work, so that will be a no-go. ๐Ÿ™

I basically live where all those cabins in TN are. :/

We are coming home after the wedding, but might head to a B&B for a night or two the next week.

I know a lot of people who don’t go on a honeymoon- so don’t feel bad- and my friend Sarah LOVES Banff ๐Ÿ™‚  She had her honeymoon there too!

I think if it is budget- I would try to at least get a night away in a local hotel- just something special to feel different- you could always set up a small registry for it- just a fancy dinner or brunch- nice hotel, maybe an event- my friend did that in Chicago- she just used a honeymoon registry (I know we used http://www.uponourstar.com for some of our honeymoon items) and did a fancy hotel downtown, a dinner at a restaurant they wanted to try and aquarium tickets for the next day- just a fun, weekend for them in the city- spending money they probalby wouldn’t have for themselves, but not really having to go anywhere.

Everyone deserves at least a night out to celebrate getting married!

we are not going anywhere. We live in Montana and the things we like to do are right here. Hiking, mountian climbing and camping. Or you can go to this site and they will give $200.00 towards a honeymoon…and when you register they send you a binder with planning ideas, which for us that was helpful

Reading this made me feel a little less bummed about finding out that we’re only staying away for one night (with a noon checkout) I feel like 12 hours isn’t nearly enough time to call a honeymoon let alone a wedding night but oh well. Plans are to take a cruise in the summer or something so I’ll be hoping for that.

We didn’t go on a honeymoon after our wedding due to my work schedule. I just started my new job and unable to get time off.

However, we went on a minimoon and couple of weekend trips.

We are planning on staying at a nice spa hotel for our wedding night and then go on our honeymoon sometime later in the year when he gets leave ๐Ÿ™‚

We were gifted two nights in a suite at a local Resort. It was beautiful. But we’re not going anywhere either. I would love to go to Ireland on our one year anniversary but it depends on whether or not we’ve saved enough for a house, and a trip.

hmmm…maybe our 5 year anniversary…..

We didn’t really go anywhere either.  We went to a hotel for 2 nights, and then came home to set up our apartment.  It was great, but I can’t wait to take a longer honeymoon… someday.  Not sure when though!  Someday!! ๐Ÿ™‚

We aren’t going anywhere. At least not for 5 + months after we get married this winter. We cannot afford it and are going to spend the night at our apartment.

We aren’t going anywhere, we are so broke from spending all of our money on the wedding.  It really sucks! starting to think we should have eloped on a tropical island….

We are staying local and doing a “familymoon” – doing a family brunch and lazer tag the day after the wedding and then movies with the kids that evening.  We will probably get Sunday night and Monday (before checkout) to ourselves because relatives will keep the kid occupied- but then thats it until our 1st anniversary!
