He doesn’t like to cook. He can cook the basics if need be but he doesn’t have to because I enjoy cooking. Plus, I don’t want him messing up my good pots and pans, etc. Last Christmas he roasted a chicken on my new non-stick cookie sheet! Ugh!
He doesn’t cook. He makes amazing coffee, and he will run the grill….but cook?? No way!
I make all of our dinners, and he does the dishes and packs up the leftovers. Perfect!
My SO doesn’t know how to cook. So when he moves in, I’ll be cooking, and teaching him how. Nothing like a little couples bonding time over the stove ๐
ETA – I seem to have forgotten a word
So true! We used to cook together a lot the first couple of years we were dating, and I actually really miss it. We’re busier now, but that could be a fun “date night” activity!
That’s crazy! My gift to future D/SILs: All of my future children will know how to run laundry and be at least passable cooks before they leave for college.
We usually cook together. Otherwise whoever is less busy will throw dinner together, and it’s pretty evenly split between the two of us.
He cooks once in a very blue moon, and it’s usually something like burgers, or wings (which he made tonight). He doesn’t like to cook, and I love to, so I do probably 98% of the cooking in our house, and am fine with it.
I taught him how to grill, and now he’s a grilling machine…
Ha. With FH it’s like:
FH: So I’m hungry.
Me: Yeah? What do you want?
FH: Oh, I don’t know…
Me: Okay…
*A while later…*
FH: What are you making for dinner?
Me: Well, you never told me what you want to eat.
FH: I don’t know, just make something *cheeky grin*
And then I normally cook something while he lurks in the background making sure I’m “doing it right”. Lol. Lucky I don’t mind cooking ๐
My Fiance cooks the most. His parents are caterers, so he’s been around food and cooking all of his life. He comes up with all kinds of ideas for meals, and I’m so thankful! I can cook (I guess) but I have no clue WHAT to cook. So when he comes up with ideas, he is so excited that he starts cooking and shoos me out of the kitchen. Score! ๐
I cook all the time. Sometimes, he will make some breakfast. But dinner? he has made dinner ONCE and we at at 11pm. It was frozen pasta!
Lucky for him I love cooking.
The only thing in my husband’s fridge when I was at his apartment for the first time was condiments.
Yep.
That pretty much sums it up…
Unfortunately, i cook about 80% of the time. I hate cooking and Fiance loves cooking, but he gets home so late that if we waited for him to come home and cook we’d be eating dinner at 8:00 or later.
Me mostly, lately! He used to cook all of the time and now I have spoiled him and he is getting lazy.
