Do you mean within the couple Or like in general?

Between me and my Fi, he found the DJ and he is in charge of booking the Limo’s.

My mom is looking into the cake and flowers, so she  is going on all appointments to find out prices, get catalogues etc.

I’m doing the rest =)

My mom and I worked together on everything. And my Maid/Matron of Honor and my mom’s best friend helped with a lot but the two of us stayed in charge of most everything.

I wouldn’t put anyone in charge of picking out anything for you. You can take them with you to help you choose the dress, flowers, cake etc. Sometimes it is good to have a 2nd opinion and that is prob what they are talking about when they say they want to help. Also if you decide to make anything yourself like the favors, programs, or anything else they could help you work on them.

I’m going to have issues with this once I get my venue booked and start getting down to the details.  Future Mother-In-Law has already asked to be involved, which I totally understand, but she drives me nuts and all she does is stress me out so I’m not really sure what to have her help with.  The thought of having her come to various appointments and having input on decisions stresses me out already…

Are you DIYing anything (invites, programs, paper products, flowers, etc). You could have a little get together and have everyone help with that.

I should have delegated more. we did all of it ourselves!  I would delegate the in-laws with planning the rehearsal dinner!  Someone with transportation, hotels, flowers, cake, ceremony etc.

we also did mini delegation with having someone be in charge of pinning the bouts on the guys day of!  Trust me – they’re guys and will never think to put them on themselves or even know where they’re suppose to go!  This is minor but important if you want the guys to look good!

I made playlists for our wedding (we’re doing ipod reception) FI’s area. And flowers are my mom’s area. Other than that I’m doing it on my own.

Seriously it’s mostly me, but that’s because I am a perfectionist and also because my mom is 14 hours away. If she were here, I’d have a lot more help. I get my Fiance to make most of the phone calls though!!
