I do!!! Having a horrible day and just want to treat myself to dinner out alone. Less than 3 months from The wedding and I’m trying desperately to control/lose weight but it’s so hard!!! who else does this?

I am a stress eater and a trauma starver. I do not struggle with food, but if I am stressed I will absolutely eat things I wouldn’t otherwise. When I am in severe stress overload, I can’t eat. I lost 12 lbs in the two weeks surrounding my mother’s death. I know I am a mess sometimes but I am aware and get it in check.

I do! It’s terrible. My problem is I enjoy ALL foods. Vegetarian hummus wrap?! Yes please! Giant bloody steak with mashed potatoes?! I’ll take 2! I just love food. When I actually get around to working out, I crave milkshakes. It really defeats the purpose. Lol

When I am happy I eat and eat and eat.. however, when I am sad or stressed out I don’t have an appetite at all and just nurse a queasy stomach all day.

I have done this since I was a child! When sad or stressed I would make myself feel better by eating junk food, and when I was happy about something I would eat to celebrate. In my case it developed into addiction which I am getting help for. Apart from this past few days where I relapsed, I have done well for the past couple of months! If you, unlike me, have good self control, use it!

I was joking about this with my husband earlier today! I got some not-so-good news today and he’s away, so I told him “I think I’m going to put some donuts on this.” Mmm mini blueberry stuffed!

K-labree: Yup!! My soon to be hubby is gone for work, I had a crap day and just stuffed my Face. Was going to go out but we need to save money so I comprised my raiding the fridge and eating like a beast 🙁

Me. I was going to ask this same question actually. I hate that habit of mine, being a fitness nut. But after a long day…chocolate is my best friend (and worst enemy). I even know I can talk myself out of it.
Lets start a support group. Whenever you wanna stress eat, look to others to talk you down! Haha.

pearljamwife: That’s a great idea!!!! i seriously have a pizza, wine and chocolate addiction when I’m feeling down. Especially if it’s work related like today and especially when I’m alone for days at a time
