Oh my god I felt so weird wearing a veil so I decided to go without. I’m getting this custom made with a cream broach and veil. The company is called Twigs & Honey. She has a website and also is on etsy. Check her out! Her stuff is amazing

I don’t like them either. During my dress shopping whenever the bridal consultant would try one on I would literally get knots. I believe they are beautiful, just not for me. I will be wearing a crystal “piece” of some sort in my hair.

I got soo claustrophobic when I tried on a veil at the bridal store. *shiver* so ya, no veil for me. I think it made me feel too bridal-ish and not like myself.

I just don’t think I can do it. My mom got this happy-glowy-giddy look on her face every time the dress consultants put one on me, and that’s the only thing really keeping me waffling a bit…. but it’s really not me. I just can’t pull it off, and I don’t think I need one to feel like a bride. I actually feel a little silly in them. I LOVE the look of fascinators and headbands… but my mom and aunt said I looked like a flamenco dancer when I put a flower in my hair 😛 So I don’t know what to do now.

I felt a bit weird every time I tried on a tiara or a veil so I’m not going with one. I’ve gotten myself a bridal headband/alice band instead and I love it.

I tried one on for the mom! But I felt silly in it, don’t like the symbolism, and my dress has an open back, which just deserves to be in full view!

Well, I may be an exception, but I was extremely happy to put on my veil! My mother wore it when she married my father. It was also a big part of the ceremony – since in Jewish weddings, the groom puts on the bride’s veil to make sure the right bride is walking down the aisle!

I am not wearing a veil, although I think that they look beautiful on others. Just not for me. =)
