Anyone else feel like a scatterbrained mess?
This is my latest epidsode… Months ago Fiance bought tickets for us to see Adele play here in town. She got sick and had to reschedule. I got the email about the rescheduling and put the date, August the 10th in my calendar. This week has been insane. On top of work, I’ve been waiting for RSVP cards to come back from the printer, waiting for our vintage postage to arrive. I wanted to send our two couples that are Out of Town their invitations so that travel arrangements can be made. Also, I lost a filling this past weekend and had a dentist appointment.
On Tuesday, the venue sent me a reminder email. I glanced over it enough to see when the box office opened and when the doors open, etc. That day was crazy and I had to go to the post office to get the invites weighed, etc. I forwarded the email to Fiance so he could see it.
On Wednesday, the day of the show, work is crazy again, I finally get our postage, I take care of the envelopes, take them to the post office for hand canceling, etc. I rush off work so we can get to the show in time, it’s a 30 minute drive from work to get to the venue. We got out there. IT’S COMPLETELY EMPTY. I’m like WTF?
I find a staffer and I can tell she is trying to gently me tell me something because I’m sure that I looked like I had the rabies or something.
“The show is tomorrow, the 11th”
Bees… I got the date completely wrong. WHAT A MESS! I swear that they changed the date again and I just wasn’t paying attention. Worse, Fiance is normally all over the details and he didn’t notice it either!
I can’t keep any other dates straight. Like my grandma’s memorial service and my niece’s birthday. WHO FORGETS THESE THINGS!?!?! I think it’s only going to get worse!

I sent invoice over to our fiscal office to be paid but they didn’t have any approval signatures on them. I also sent over an invoice that had been paid weeks ago…luckily it was one of the ones without a signature so they sent it back. I feel completely out of it lately. I hope I make it through the next 37 days.

@Miss Smashville: Oh no! Luckily, I haven’t had too many work related slip ups, other than a little disorganization, hopefully I can keep it strictly to my personal life!

Luckily everyone knows that I’m a little out of it. They just call and laugh at me.

Oh, I am so there too!!!!
I have been a mess at work (the bee doesn’t help that!). I have missed 2 doctors appointments and one dress (yes! DRESS!) fitting appointments! I hardly ever miss appointments and the first time it happened I got a call about 30 minutes after my appointment. Not knowing the time I said blindly “Oh! I know I’m on my way, just running a little late” … the receptionist replied “uh… well… we have another appointment scheduled now… ” I was like “oh.. sorry… ” LOL. It was embarrassing.
The second time I totally forgot, but luckily had an excuse. My FI’s son smacked his face into his bunkbed and had to get stitches (he was ok!) and I didn’t have a vehicle! LOL. Shamefully… I did use that as my excuse.
I’d like to think after the wedding I’ll go back to normal, but I have a feeling I’ll have baby fever and that will take over my mind again… does it ever end?

@.twist.: FI and I have an ongoing joke about my absent-mindedness, sadly, I think this would have happend even without the wedding, but it’s nice to have that to blame. lol.

@Mrs.Mittens: haha oh yes. I definitely think it would happen for me without the wedding to blame as well. I think being an adult has done this to me… I never used to be this way! haha.

Boo! Me and the worst part is it has been like this for a year now. Every time I talk to my mother all I can remember is wedding stuff and she’ll ask me about other things and I am like, huh? Lol, I am just looking forward to going on my honeymoon and not having to worry about anything!!
