Our invitations go out tomorrow! Makes it very very real. We are doing online or phone RSVP as well, so some of our RSVPs should start hitting very soon. We’ll be on vacation in Vegas this weekend, so I’m sure it will be a fun and overwhelming time!
Anyone else sending invites this week? How long have they been done (or are they done at all?!)?
Post a picture of your invitations if you’d like 🙂

Alright, they are now in the hands of the USPS!! I have to admit, I felt a little nervous turning them over! All that hard work… please let them all be delivered quickly, addresses correct, etc.

My wedding is a week before yours and I sent mine out Jan 5th because they were ready and I couldn’t hold onto them any longer LOL. The reply cards started arriving last Monday and checking the mail is SO fun now! You will love it!! So far out of 81 invites mailed we have gotten 20 reply cards, all but ONE yes (My old boss is going to be out of the country which is sad). Good luck and have fun in Vegas:) Doing anything fun while you are here?

I actually brought mine to the post office last Monday afternoon(like 11:30am), and one of my coworkers got hers in the mail that night! Everyone else seemed to get theirs within a day or 2 after. My wedding is a few weeks after yours, but I had ordered mine back in October because of an awesome sale going on that I couldn’t pass up(30% off total order). My calligrapher had the addressing done within a week, so as soon as she finished, I stuffed those puppies into envelopes and sent them out the next day 🙂
These are the invitations I ordered: http://www.invitationsbydawn.com/Boutiques/Urban-Vintage-Wedding-Invitations/2657-DWF13039-Vintage-Shine–Invitation.pro
I am using wine lettering because the invitation is a shimmery champagne(or close enough to champagne), and those are my wedding colors 🙂

@GroovyKitten: That is crazy someone received it that quickly!!
@mjwyatt84: First two days are work, last 4 days are fun 🙂 Fiance is flying out and meeting me Thursday night and then we’re doing the typical Vegas thing.

I’m putting the finishing touches on mine and sending them out either at the end of this week or first of next week. I totally agree…I have a bit of anxiety about actually dropping them off, too! I’ve worked my little tooshie off on these and plus it makes it officially official haha! My wedding is 2 weeks after yours, but we didn’t do STD’s and a lot of our family and friends will have to travel, so I’m trying to give enough notice to those people. Good luck getting it all pulled together – I’m sure it will be wonderful!

@SweetMelissa429: Okay, they obviously started hitting today – and let me tell you, it’s fun to get the texts from people that they received them! So drop those babies off and enjoy.
We got our first RSVP! And it included a question about if kids were invited… oh dear! LOL.
Here are some of the texts I got today (Thursday – sent Tuesday afternoon):
“Thanks for inviting me! Your invitation was the prettiest I’ve seen!”
“I LOVE the wedding invitation! So unique… and if you wrote on the envelopes I am going to be angry – no one should be allowed to have both talents of graphic design and gorgeous cursive!”
From kind of a frat-boy-type personality I work with: “I don’t usually comment on weddings but I am seriously impressed with the wedding invitations. Well done.”
LOL, I think the last one is the best! TOTALLY worth all the hard work! Really kicking off my Vegas weekend well 🙂

Ooohh! You just got me super excited to get mine in the mail! I’ve got to put a few finishing touches on the invites and get the envelopes addressed and then it’s go time 🙂 That’s so great that everyone is loving your invitations – I’m hoping for the same response!
