I am so bored. I am writing a brief and I just want to be done! I wanted to finish this afternoon, but then my boss was nice enough to tell me I could email it to her tomorrow….I kind of wish she didn’t do that, because now I will probably be up all night! Someone please entertain me!
Edit: I probably should have put this in the Lounge…I’m still a newbee 🙂

I’m doing homework, which I know isn’t the same, but I kind of feel your pain!

I don’t have any work to do, but Fiance has a college buddy over so they are in the other room blasting music and drinking beer…we live in the middle of nowhere so I’m kind of stuck in the house with nothing to do.

@elizabeth2004: it’s all the same…being stuck inside on a Friday is no fun..unless it is to watch a movie and pig out 🙂 at least my Fiance is keeping me company. what homework are you doing?

@LissaBeans: Chinese. It’s pretty terrible, but at least I’m getting it done. You’re lucky you have your Fiance, mine is out drinking for a friend’s b-day! What kind of work do you do?

@elizabeth2004: Wowza. Chinese is a tough language to learn, I bet. That’s awesome, though. Do you have to take it for some sort of requirement? I always wanted to speak another language fluently. I took Spanish for many years but eventually stopped taking classes in college.
I’m a divorce lawyer. I handle both domestic and international divorce and child custody matters. Ironic, I know. Hahah, but I generally enjoy the work (except when it keeps me inside on Friday nights)! It’s always something new. It can be upsetting, too, but I try to keep things as upbeat as possible.

@LissaBeans: My university does have a language requirement. I’m taking Chinese specifically because my Fiance is Chinese and was born in China (moved when he was 4). Knowing another language is good, but I’d be lying if I said I’ll be sad to leave this particular class when I graduate next month!
You job sounds like it could be intense at times. What’s international divorce – when the people are from different countries, when one moves to another country, or what?

@elizabeth2004: I just realized your bio says Ann Arbor…do you go to UM? I went to Penn State. Yay for the Big Ten!
That’s pretty neat that you’re taking it because your Fiance is Chinese. I’m sure he appreciates it, and as the Chinese economy continues to grow (and grow and grow…), it will certainly become a useful skill as well.
It is totally intense at times, but it can also be really gratifying. International divorce is all of what you mentioned plus more. People can be living in different countries, move to another country before or after the divorce (or during, for that matter), or even unfortunately abduct their children and take them to another country. I’m always keeping on my toes, that’s for sure.

@LissaBeans: Animating some little monsters jumping around. They’re all styled after different fruits. They’re healthy monsters… lol.

@LissaBeans: Yep, UM. I really like it. 🙂
It’s great that you really seem to enjoy your job (when it takes place in normal working hours, haha).
