We are going with the traditional vows. I don’t think it gets any better than promising your husband you’ll be around for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health!

I am getting married in a Catholic church and we got told we can write our vows if we want, but we are not going to.

I agree, it freaks me out, plus my Fiance is so great with words I am worried that anything I come up with will not be as good as what he does.  He had me in tears at our engagement party when he read out a surprise poem he had written for me.

Also we are having a very traditional service so going along with the traditional vows suits us 🙂

I’m very set on having the traditional vows read — and honestly, I don’t know that I could even get the words out to say what I want to say. The proposal showed me just how much I cry, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop the tears if we go with something written specifically for that day.
