Love my “plain” band aka carved lol
Love my “plain” band aka carved lol
Love my plain rose gold band against my pave’ e-ring. I love the symbolism and simplicity of a plain gold band.
my plain rose gold band.. I love the contrast of my set
Me! I have always loved the look of a plain gold band, ever since I can remember!
gettingmeowied : I have a white gold moissaniter solitaire, with a white gold band with diamonds. Dh has a plain yellow gold band, on the thinner side for a guy (I think maybe 5mm from memory)
Well I love his ring way more than my set haha. When I have some spare cash I’m going to buy a plain yellow gold band in 2 or 3mm to wear on it’s own for day to day.
I wanted a plain gold band too! There is something that is classic about it that I love. I also like the plain band on it’s own so I wanted that option. I may add to my stack in the years to come but I am oh so happy about my simple band.
FH got mine when he bought my engagement ring. I also sometimes wear it around the house because I love the look and feel. Mostly the feeling of being excited to marry my favorite person.
Mine’s a plain yellow gold band too, I like the look of the plain bands next to the sparkles of the engagement rings.
Mine did have to have a chunk cut out so that it would sit flush with my engagement ring though.
butternutter : I went for a plain platinum band to match my ering too, but just because you have a platinum ering doesn’t mean you need to go for matching metal. If you’re sad about not getting a gold band, I’d get the gold band! Take a look at Queen Elizabeth’s gorgeous mismatched set.
I have a stone similar to yours with a plantinum band, I always knew i’d get a plain wedding band then I saw some bling and was like hmm but now I’ve seen all of yours plain sets I am in love again. There’s something so delicate and pure about a plain band.
I have a white gold wedding band and I love wearing it on its own sometimes. I’m still engaged but wear both ering and wedding band together, I have been eyeing yellow gold simple bands though. Maybe later. 🙂
This isnt my wedding band (yet) but I’m considering having a plain band made to match my engagement ring. I really like the classic look of a plain band and I’m having a hard time finding a ring that doesn’t ruin the clean lines of my engagement ring or get overwhelmed and lost when paired together.

I went back and forth between a pave and plain because the jeweler assumed I wanted matching pave so I felt like maybe he knows they’ll look better but I really loved the plain. I couldn’t do totally plain because it just didn’t look right with the shape of my e-ring (the halo sits directly on my finger so there is no room to put anything under it). When I wear the wedding ring alone I turn it so the cutouts are on the bottom and I love the simplicity of it. Sometimes I like the feeling not having something flashy or blingy just a simple “yup married” it feels stable.
I love plain bands! I was initially set on a beautiful sparkly band and then I happened to try on one of my plain silver rings with my ering and I couldn’t stop staring at it. I ended up changing my entire set plan (thought I did eventually get a smaller spacer ring with tiny diamonds on it, so I’ve got some sparkle to satisfy my inner magpie!)
browneyedgirl24 : that is true and I’m not opposed to / do like some mismatches generally.
will try on some variations when we get to that and see what looks good. I have such pale skin my hands tend to go purple when cold (which is always!!!) so thI gold just didn’t suit as much. But it is only one tiny littl ring!
I’ve always wanted a plain yellow gold band, they just say married to me!
