I truly do love all my future in-laws.  My FI’s parents are divorced and both remarried, and they are all really great.  They have helped us through the whole planning, already bought us gifts, and have just been wonderful.  =)

I do! They have treated as one of the family since day 1 and I love all of them! I don’t have any siblings so I love his sister and brothers like they are my own. the only downer is that my Future Mother-In-Law doesn’t speak any english so someone has to translate, and we can’t have a normal conversation jus thte two of us but I hope we can someday.

I suppose they aren’t technically in-laws yet, but I love my Future Mother-In-Law. Future Father-In-Law is pretty neat too, though I don’t really know him as well.

I love my FIL’s and they love me.  Fiance was married before right out of highschool and right before he joined the army and they did not like her at all.  From what I hear(from her former best friend) she is not a nice person in general.  Mean spirited, materialistic and narcissistic.  Did i mention she cheated on Fiance while he was in Iraq? Yeah a real winner.  Fiance and i have very similar upbringings and family dynamics so we mesh really well together.  Fiance is my best friend and his family appreciate how well I take care of him.  Can’t wait to be his wife!

I absolutely LOVE my fmil! She is great! She is the nicest person and is so excited about the wedding.  She always calls us or texts on the 22nd of every month and says things like “Exactly 3 months from today you will be Mr and Mrs!!!” It’s super cute and she’s been doing it since we got engaged (over a year ago).

My in laws have treated me like family ever since Fiance and I got together. I was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and after my surgery, his mom and aunt came to the hospital every day to visit me for the week I was there. She even let my cat stay with her at her house (she’s allergic) for two months because my mom is deathly afraid of them and I had to move back in with my parents while I went through radiation.

They are just super sweet and are being so amazing and just offered us the most generous gift for our wedding. I couldn’t beleive it! Oh and yesterday we were talking at their house about the wedding and Future Father-In-Law says something about how it’s only 40 days away. I didn’t even know that!!! He was totally keeping track and I thought it was really cute (and then felt like a bad bride because I didn’t even know how many days til my own wedding!!!)

Me!!! I met his parents not too long after we really started going out, and they have always been awesome. Sometimes his father and I kind of butt heads, but we have a lot in common, and he is funny as hell. His mom, though, is the sweetest, most hardcore mom/grandma I’ve ever seen. She’s a storyteller, a cook, a gardener, an IT specialist, a kitchen witch, very knowledgable about weapons, world affairs, history, literature and science, and I swear I think she has an eidetic memory. I dont think there is much she CAN’T do. In a lot of ways I feel closer to her than my own mom.

He doesn’t have a great relationship with his brother, but his SIL and their three kids are very important to us, and we try to stay in touch with them as much as possible; we’re apparently the “cool” aunt and uncle, lol.

I love my family so much, even in all it’s craziness and, at times, disfunction, but I can’t wait to have them be a part of it, and to be a part of theirs.

Future Father-In-Law introduced me as his soon-to-be daughter (not DIL) and I almost cried. I love my in-laws. In the almost 9 years Fiance and I have been together, we have gotten closer and closer.

@Rivendeler:  I’m so sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is. My GIL past away in August of last year, and it was heartbreaking. I didn’t know tht it would take such a toll on me in that way. I hope that you guys all remember all of the good parts, and celebrate her life.

I love my FIL’s. They have accepted me from day one, and I think that helps a lot. They are the craziest, nicest, people I have ever met. They are so random and they do what they want. They say whats on their mind, and they mean it. I have always been introduced as their daughter, and I love that. I love that they accepted me and don’t push me away. I can’t be anymore greatful for them allowing me to be part of their family. My FIL’s have a great marriage, and my parents divorced when I was 6 so their marriage is my example, and I always say that I want a marriage just like theirs…

I hope for all of the posters, (esp. the ones with Father-In-Law drama) that they all feel this way one day. It is the most amazing feeling in the world.

Rivendeler  I am so sorry for your loss.

I love my future ILs.  I joke to Fiance that they should adopt me.

I do!  They are the easist people to love, just like my fiance.  I feel lucky that we get along so well.   I’m sad that my parents live a couple hours away, and we only see them once a month or so, whereas we see his parents, siblings, cousins, etc. once a week or more.  I love my parents, but I hate where they live, and my fiance agrees that we wouldn’t be happy moving there.  But I feel like my fiance is missing out – I get this whole new big fun family, and he gets some people we see a few times a year.  I keep trying to convince my parents to move closer when they retire, but I doubt that will happen.
