(Closed) Who gets seated during the processional?

Typically the parents of the groom are included in the processional and seated. You can include your FSIL’s but you certainly don’t have to. My SIL (DH’s brothers wife) was not included in our processional and she didn’t seem to mind.

I’m seating my sister in the processional. What about grandparents? Future Mother-In-Law is being walked by Future Father-In-Law

For us it was

1 grandparent (escorted by BM- his brother)

DH’s parents

My mom (escorted by my brother who was not in the party)

My step sister and brother were not escorted nor in the wedding party.

My step dad escorted me

For us, it was only the mothers that were seated before the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Seating of the grandparents and other family members makes the ceremony longer and more inclusions in the programs which were the two reasons why we decided to nix those.
