A friend of mine is getting married in July, and she has 7 bridesmaids, including both a Maid and Matron of Honor. Usually, the Maid/Matron of Honor walks in last right before the bride. When there are 2, which one is the last to come in? Any help would be appreciated!

If it were me, I would say it would depend. But for the most part, I would think maid before matron. I’m making assumptions that matron is older than maid. That might be how I work it. If by chance your matron is younger than your maid, I might put maid last.
Could you have them walk together??
*Edit. Didn’t see that part about the sister. I would say sister might trump friend too.

Hmmm. I’m not sure. I would say the bride’s sister…..simply for family reasons. Most BFFS understand putting your sister first even if you love them both as equals!

I had a maid and matron of honor.
Simply because the matron was WAY taller than the best man, we had the maid stand next to me so she could walk out with the best man. The matron of honor was fine standing in second place so she could have a groomsman the same height as her- as opposed to the tiny best man.
So whatever works is fine. I don’t think there’s a hard and fast rule about it.

I vote Maid…but simply because she is your sister

I said maid as well becuase it is the sister. I think everyone would understand that.

I would have voted for Matron, but I would say the Maid should be the one to walk out right before you just because she’s your sister. What is your Fiance doing about the guys?

What if you have a Maid and a Matron of Honor, and they are both your sisters (as is the case for me)?

I think it depends on who these women are. If they are both your sisters, hard call! If it were a friend and a sister, sister goes before bride, I think.

Thanks for the advice gals! I’m letting her know that the maid (sister) won! I think that’s the way she was leaning anyway, but just wanted to hear what the hive had to say!
