    Ive always seen it to be the groom. In fact, I have the entire script for the ceremony that came in my church binder (yes, it was a 3 ring binder FULL of information lol but it has been handy) and it has the groom speaking first.

    Funny, we didn’t discuss this in advance, but I assumed it would be him. When it came time to say our vows, he said, “Ladies first!” Laughing

    Well I thought that is determined by the officiant? It was at ours. I read it first.

    He read his first. He didn’t have to, we flipped a coin the day before to decide who would read first.

    I think its normally the groom but I dont think it matters
