We got (formally) engaged after 13 months and married 4 months after that. We both knew in the first 2 months that we were going to get married, and we had set a date within 6 months of dating. We met, got engaged, married, and had a baby all within 25 months. It was just right for us.

@Moraz: We are in our thirties as well. Neither one of us had been married before (but I do hav a son!) and we got engaged right around the 10 month mark, and got married just shy of 5 months after that 🙂

We got engaged after 11 months and 2 weeks of dating. He said he would’ve proposed at 9 months but it took the ring an extra 2 long months to come in. Needless to say, it all worked out and we engaged on a trip to Paris! We’ll be getting married 5 months after the proposal so our total time together will have been almost 1.5 years. We’re also in our 30s and knew right away that we were meant to be together.

We got married within three months of meeting. Too fast to really even consider ourselves engaged. We kind of met, moved in, married. Job done!

We knew right near the one year mark that we were going to get engaged and got engaged at about 13.5 months. But we had already talked about marriage, looked at rings etc..right around the one year mark. 🙂
We are getting married 1 year and 10 days after getting engaged.

Its great to hear I’m not alone! We got engaged about 10 months after we officially started dating but a little over a year after meeting each other.

I think the whole notion of “when you know, you know!” is so sweet. Love hearing all of these stories.

We were engaged 7 months after we got together and married 4 months later…so we were engaged and married within a year.
However, my situation is a little different in that we were engaged previously. We met when we were 13 years old and were boyfriend/girlfriend all through junior high and high school, and he proposed while we were in college.
We broke up and got back together after 7 years apart. It was obvious after the first couple of dates where we were headed, even though I had wanted to take it “slow” (haha!). When we did get engaged, so many of our friends and relatives asked what took us so long!
Not that you asked for my whole story, but I figured I’d tell it anyway.
