Darling Husband and I are currently NTNT as well. Im sure you know that you can only conceive when during your FW. Ideally, if you and your Fiance do not BD or AT LEAST use protection during that time, I’m sure you’ll be fine.

@everyheart:  Me. Kinda. I was practicing charting and temping and reading TCOYF. It took two cycles. Aaaand we did the deed  about every other day from CD 8 to 17. I o’d on CD 14 both cycles. We were going to actively TTC  in January, but got pregnant in December. We are now expecting a baby boy at the end of August.

Good luck!! Relax and have fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

My mom was 39 and somehow convinced herself that she was menopausal and couldn’t get pregnant so she stopped taking BCPs.  She was pregnant within the first two cycles off BCPs.

@MrsMaskatoBe:  Me too… kind of. I was charting to avoid. I really thought I had it down and we avoided the window, but damn… his little swimmer really loved my little eggy and stuck around a day or two longer than he should have to cuddle. I was off BC for 3 months when I got pregnant.

@Mrs. Gremmlin:  haha same here!!! We weren’t technically going to start trying until later this year, but we were REALLY sloppy with our condoms because we both knew deep down that we wouldn’t have any problem with me getting pregnant earlier than that. And … yeah, the first month I actually ovulated after getting off BC (after two long anovulatory cycles), I got pregnant from having unprotected sex a good three days before the egg dropped.

The nice thing is, if you feel ready enough to get off the Pill then really, you’re probably pretty ready to get pregnant, even if it’s not the most convenient timing in the world. I was ‘irritated’ to have gotten pregnant so quickly for about one minute, and then I was thrilled ๐Ÿ™‚

I did.  I was off BC since our wedding but we just made sure we were careful/used other forms of protection when I was ovulating (mainly condoms/pull out method).  We didn’t want to get pregnant but we would’ve been ok if we did.

We decided to really actively TTC in February of this year, but we stopped all protection a few months before in December.  We got pregnant immediately in December and I’m due early September.

I did.  We started NTNP in December and found out we were pregnant in February.  I was SHOCKED!

@iarebridezilla:  haha! We were four days before ovulation, and here I am, 7 weeks pregnant. I ovulated right off the bat, and the first two months we totally had sex as though we were trying (I was new to the idea!). I really thought that third month I had figured it all out. My husband is still getting used to it, but I’m good. We knew it was possible when I went of BC, but we would have liked another 6 months or so. The whole “being on birth control for long periods of time increases the length of time it’ll take to conceive” was totally not the case for me!

@Mrs. Gremmlin:  haha I know right?! We were total condom-nazis during those first two cycles — I don’t think I let Darling Husband raw dog one single solitary time for months. And then we’re like “ah, eff it — I’m not even ovulating so what’s the point in doing this to ourselves.”

I think my ovaries must have heard that conversation. As Jeff Goldblum so memorably put it …. “life … it …. it … it finds a way.”

I’d have loved to get pregnant this way, but I’m too impatient. Took me ages to convince Darling Husband to ditch the BC, and now I’ve just gone crazy with POAS and temping

Us. With twins. First cycle without the goalie (we had switched from the pill to condoms 3 months earlier). No charts, no temping, just a lot of relaxed holiday lovin’ aided by the expensive wine and Scotch my in-laws have on tap at Christmas.  Go figure.

@iarebridezilla:  Peeing my pants laughing. “Raw dog”. Jeff Goldblum. Yes to all of the above.
