Long time stalker, first time poster so bear with me. 🙂
Who has a diamond from Blue Nile?
My bf and I have been looking at diamonds for a while. We both really want a radiant cut and he really likes the 1:1 ratio.. those are really hard to find in jewelry stores near us so we’ve been considering getting a diamond online (since they have more of a selection) and getting it set with a setting we fell in love with at Jared’s near us. I’m also a control freak and will want somewhere near to it cleaned and maintained. We’ve done a lot of research and feel that Blue Nile is a reputable place but I would love to hear any experience you ladies have had with them. Feel free to post pictures too!

My center stone came from Blue Nile. My setting was purchased separately. I don’t have a radiant cut though. DH bought me a round brilliant. He worked with a jewelery designer for my setting and he told him flat out to buy the diamond from Blue Nile over him because he wouldn’t be able to beat their prices. So that is what he did. And the jeweler pieced it all together for him. We have no complaints. It’s a reputable company and DH had no problems dealing with them.

Square brilliant cut cushion from Blue Nile. Setting was designed and bought separately. It was hard to find square cushions at jewelers since we were looking for a very specific cut and ratio. Blue Nile was perfect!

I do and I love it. They were great to work with and an excellent deal. I have gotten so many complements on my ring.

My fiancé purchased my ring through Blue Nile and had a great experience!

I love my Blue Nile ring, my husband loved dealing with them too.
I understand your concern about the cleaning but I found a local jeweler here who will clean it and check on it for me whenever for free. If I ever need anything fixed I get it done there and my Mom is a longtime customer so that helps.

I do! And I absolutely love it! Mine is a princess cut on their petite pave setting. Here’s a pic by itself:
And with my wedding band:
It is a gorgeous diamond, and the sparkle blows anything I’ve seen in stores out of the water (these pics do not capture it at all, but it is phenomenal!)
My husband researched the crap out diamond options before buying, and is VERY happy with his choice to go with Blue Nile (as am I! hehe)

awesome! yes the prices can’t be beat. we even have a family owned business near us that cuts thier own diamonds which can’t compare to BN prices. thanks for the input!
the ratio is exactly the issue that we keep having too. thanks for the input! all this advice makes me feel better about it too.
wow!! beautiful! congrats. love love the thin band.
good to hear! thank you!
thats awesome! i also worry about a stone falling out though (i’m a worry wart).. i know i could go through insurance but i’d love to just be able to take it somewhere and have it fixed and not have to deal with the headache of insurance.

I love my Blue Nile! Halo, .82 center stone. We got crazy deals on it via groupon, ebates, and promo codes. It appraised for double what we paid. I’m Team Blue Nile all the way! Not sure why my hands look so old lady in this picture haha. Perhaps it’s time to stop tanning.

and I have almost the same ring but mine in the channel set 😉 I have nothing bad to say about Blue Nile. My matching wedding band came in a few days ago and it looks like such a nice set together 🙂 Goodluck!

What’s the difference between a round brilliant and a radiant cut??
