Everyone is acting weird. I have NO idea what’s going on but I sense something is gonna happen soon.

My house is the “keeper of all gifts” and I have light and heavy boxes under the tree, all different sizes. My mom is going along with all of the wedding planning without any of her anxious neurotic freak out moments (“what if he doesn’t actually propose? are you wasting your time?”)

And dad actually said he’s going to pay for the ENTIRE venue…not just part of it! Everyone is being so supportive… and acting like they are all in the know except for me. I’ll play along.

Well, I was wrong. Happily! He proposed 12/12… The very night I last posted to this thread. ๐Ÿ˜€

I don’t think my SO will propose on Christmas day but I think he will propose before the New Year.  Christmas is a busy time with family and it is also my SO’s birthday.

I know a proposal is coming, we have been talking about getting married for some time since we are in our thirities.  My SO let it slip he wants us to spend less on Christmas gifts this year because he just purchased an expense gift.; then a few days later I accidentally found the ring box in his dresser when I was putting away the laundry.

I’m trying to patiently wait for him to propose, I can’t wait to announce we are finally engaged.

I don’t expect it.  Though I’m certain he is giving me a Jamie Oliver 15 minute meals cookbook.  I saw him put it in his basket when we went shopping the other day lol.

Not me. My ring will not be ready until the first week of January. I’m okay with being patient though. I know it’s coming. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nerves are BAD! If he bends down one more time to tie his shoe in front of me, I am going to let crazy run wild. ๐Ÿ™‚ Proposal is coming before Christmas…that is a fact…everything else is up in the air. He probably knows that I am focusing on a weekend…which means he’ll pop the question on a Tuesday night while I’m brushing my teeth. lol

Ugh, I wish. I hope. I DREAM. I love Christmas and it would make it so extra wonderful. So basically, no it’s not going to happen.

I hope so but I’m not sure if I’m just imagining it. We have been together just for a little over two years but we are fully committed – like he wants to pay my crazily expensive grad school (I’m talking about a postgrad degree worth close to 100 k!) and right after Christmas I’m moving to his country, to the other side of the world, literally.

He has said twice that I will get the best present ever… However, he also said he had spent an entire day making/preparing it so it might not be what I think would be the best present ever.. Though I have no idea what he could have made (if he did) because he’s much more the type that just goes and buys something nice and making a present wouldn’t normally even cross his mind.

Oh well, I don’t want to start imagining too much and then get disappointed because our relationship is amazing as it is and I do think we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together.. so in the end, a proposal wouldn’t change anything. Doesn’t mean I don’t want it though, but I suppose I don’t need it to happen at least right now.

Not happening for me-and I am okay with that.  I don’t like waiting, but I rather wait a couple months than have a Christmas proposal.   I can see why a lot of girls would want a holiday proposal, but its not for me.  I just want our proposal to have its own special day.

I honestly don’t know.   We have discussed engagements but after looking on eBay for rings together he blurted that we should collect some pieces of jewellery keep it for ten years then sell it on.

It did disappoint me actually as I wanted him to get an idea of what I might like.   I think I will do the shut it pact until after NYE ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m hoping for a Christmas proposal too! SO is acting “weird”, did not ask for my christmas list or did ask what I want under the tree (though I got some answers ready…). He’s like a mystery at the moment.

He knows I want to be engaged and it’s about time!
