i’m impressed with your computer skills, i wish i can combine pix together!

i have no experience with customizing Casablanca, i haev one myself (1826) and i think the store only asked if i want “straight” vs “sweetheart” neckline.  i assume you can also shorten the hem, but not sure about “replacing”.   i dont think it’ll be cheap tho even if you can replace the bottom…

Omg I was tripping for a minute! lol I was like how in the world did she get in that picture? Did she get the alterations and I’m reading this wrong? LOL

I agree I think replacing the hemline should be fairly reasonable as far as alterations go. I’d call a few places to see if they’re all in the same ballpark though.

Ask the bridal shop where you plan to order it. Casablanca DOES offer a lot of customization options that I feel brides aren’t necessarily made aware of. It doesn’t hurt to ask — I hope it works out for you because that would be really beautiful, though you look great in the dress as it is already!

I asked to customize pockets into my Casablanca and they said they couldn’t do it, even though it had extrra gathered material in the pocket areas.  So I’m not sure what customizations they will actually do.  I agree that you should ask a bridal salon, they can get the answer pretty quickly.

I have done customizations with Casablanca. I ordered 1858 but changed the neckline to scoop, added sleeves and raised the back. It turned out really nice! You would never think the original and this dress were the same thing — it really looks like it was always supposed to be the way it is now. It was really reasonable to make the changes too; I think it only added about $150 to the price.

@soonerpsych: I heard that the customizations are based on what “templates” they already have available. Pockets sound pretty easy, but if they don’t already offer a dress with one, they probably didn’t do it. I was told that you could mix and match the top of one style with the bottom of another as long as they are their basic designs and the structs of the dress allows it.

I bet they could do it.  It will cost you, but it will be worth it.  Love the one-of-a-kind hybrid dress you created!
