- Wedding: September 2014 - Manhattan Church Rec Center
So I have been becoming exhausted with this waiting period. I am kind of over it and wish it wasn’t on my mind so much anymore. I have pinned everything I want to pin. Looked at tons on dresses and sparklies online. Seen a bunch of cute picture ideas. And now…I am just over it. Until Mr. Sapphire puts a ring on it. I am done pre-planning. I hate it. I can’t share it with anyone….
Then my mom decided to be awesome. She is the coolest woman I know. Recently she lost almost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers and now her, my younger sister and I can share clothes, like we used to back in the day. I told her that for my wedding I want her dress to be Hella-fine. I want my mom in a, what I call “Eat Your Heart Out Dress”. She sudgested I pin a few and thats when I started looking at M.O.T.B and M.O.H dresses for her and my sis.
This morning, once i decided to end this waiting game my mom asked me if I pinned anything interesting on Pintrest lately. I told her I found a few new styles of Bridesmaid dresses and a few new choices for the White Dress.
I showed her my pintrest and we discovered my dream dress is exactly like her wedding dress to my dad (lacy, flower child w/ off the shoulder cap sleeves), I vaugely remember getting into it when i was, like, 10! And my mom said the untilmate thing that made me get Anime-Girl eyes…she said I should try on her dress! SQQWEEEE. I told her I want to send it to be cleaned and try it on when my SO finally does pop the question. Most likely we will be using a lace from my mom’s dress to make my dress.
I <3 my mom for feeding into my addiction. And to know that we have the same taste in dresses really makes me happy. Like, I know the whole experience dress shopping/making my dress is going to be great.
But, really, I am kind of done with all this pre-planning. At least until he proposes.
