I wish I could be super excited. I mean I want to, but generally I’m not! Hopefully once we are living together I’ll get more excited! It’s not that much fun when it’s just you by yourself! ๐Ÿ™‚ lol

I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this time of year. October 1-January 1 is by FAR my favorite time of year. All the good stuff happens during that time IMO. ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re also in a new house this year that I think will be so fun to decorate! I was hoping to buy some new Christmas decorations (particularly bc we have a mantel!) and a big christmas tree… but unfortunately bc of the wedding we’re on a spending freeze which means no new decorations! That’s okay though. I’m still pumped! (And I told Fiance that after the wedding when we re-figure our budget, I want a line item for holiday decorations shopping heh)

We’re doing Christmas cards for the first time! I spent so much time collecting addresses I figure its a good way to test them out before sending invites.

I order our personalized stocking last week and also bought a couple of other things. Most people think I’m crazy but I’m just excited!

I am super-excited! The wedding is over, I can actually focus on something Not Wedding Related, like making ornaments, decorating, shopping for gifts. YAY! Plus our apartment has high enough ceilings for a decent tree ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ve had our holiday cards finished for weeks now. I diyed them so I wanted to give myself plenty of time, especially b/c we were so late last year.

My parents usually go to NY to visit my sister on Christmas, but she’s going to visit her bf so they’re staying home. I’m kind of excited to have them home. Growing up we always went to a theme park and a chinese restaurant every Christmas (we’re Jewish), and my hubby and I have continued the tradition since my parents go away. Now they can join us again!

Love, love, love Christmas.  It is always such a big deal to me, even if it means celebrating with my mom over the internet.

Thanksgiving – HATE IT.  My birthday is over Thanksgiving.  Every year I get to listen to how my dad missed the game of the century because I was being born (1971 Neb/Okl), and my b-day has been cursed ever since my sister got married the day after my 16th (think 16 candles without the Jake).  All I really want to do that week is fish.  Just stick me in a boat somewhere in the middle of a big lake and leave me alone with a lot of bait and I would be perfectly happy.

I think once the wedding is over I will be more excited.  Right now all that’s on my mind is the wedding and not the holidays.  I’m usually so excited for Christmas but spending the whole year paying for wedding stuff and then having to spend more money on Christmas gifts just doesn’t make me excited this year…sorry for being a debbie downer.

Love the holidays!  i’m wondering what’s the earliest I can get away with putting up Christmas lights in the yard without going overboard ๐Ÿ™‚

I’d probably like this time of the year more if it weren’t for the fact I work in a craft store. Not only that but we are not allowed to ask off from Nov. 1-Jan 31 (inventory). That means I’ll probably have to work my 5th Christmas Even in a row and have to work the day after Thanksgiving for the 4th year in a row.
