I can’t see your pic. I opted for a cute & whimsical image with more formal wording for my invites. This is what I chose, but I ended up making the text a more muted purple.

I can’t see them pic…….

Our invites still included everything that the formal pocketfold would but was ALOT less “formal”

We still had everything in our wedding and reception, but these fit better than a more formal invite… and much more cost effective as a DIY project =)

@MM423: The pic is working now. πŸ™‚

The owls are clipart I purchased for a few dollars on Etsy and I edited to match my wedding colors. Then I uploaded the design to Vistaprint. I just ordered them so I’ll let you all know how they came out in a few days when they arrive!

@MaraBeth Thanks I was like that too until I organized a fundraising/awareness dinner event for my moms non-proift. lol…. still had some trouble getting these done though. lol Really though I you bought the pockfolds from cardsandpockets where they’re like 60 cents each, by all your paper pre-cut like I did from anchorpaper, then really all it is is assembly and it’s not that bad πŸ˜‰

@Lauren10.8.11 I actually made them completely from scratch. I have my DIY posted here only thing I’d do different was order the pocketfolds already done…. they weren’t that much more =)

We haven’t started ours yet, but my Fiance takes wonderful pictures, So we are going to use one of his pics of the beach where we always go, that will be nearby the wedding location.  We are just using postcards, NO RSVP cards, getting a website and having people rsvp to the site.

After the horror stories of the number of people that do not RSVP, after spending money on the postage and the cards …. hopefully this approach will work. When we do the pics .. i’ll post them.

I don’t have a photo on this computer, (if you check my blog, they ARE at the bottom of the DIY pocketfold page…pics are blocked here, too πŸ™ ..), but ours has some fantasy-style artwork I did, and the inserts have fantasy art on it and the RSVP has a quote-style question from Monty Python’s Holy Grail as well as some art that fits the quote-question.

Definitely NOT formal in any way, shape, or form! LOL!

These are our invitations! I loooove them, and can’t wait to get them!

They look a whole lot better without all the big white blobs. Sorry it’s so big.

@runsyellowlites: that is very tedious! I think that’s a bit too much pocketfold work for our ridiculouslylarge wedding. I love them though! If mine was smaller I would consider doing something like that!

Um how cute are those mason jars! Love love love!!!!

Ah HAH! Found a way to get to my pictures!  weeee!!!!  Here’s what’s on my blog.  You can get a good idea of what they look like from this, I think πŸ™‚

IF you’re really familiar with Monty Python and the Holy Grail, you should be able to figure out the quote I used πŸ˜‰
