I have one or two short readings I might include in my ceremony, but I am not sure who to ask to do them. It’s a small Destination Wedding, and I am only having the sister closest to me in age stand up with me. I originally thought of having my grandma who I am very close to do one, but I think the other three grandma’s would be hurt, so I though about asking one of my other sisters, but they are both 16 (twins). Who did your readings? What was the reason that you chose them?

@swisea01: Small Destination Wedding here as well. We’ll have two short readings which my younger brother (24) is in charge of. Since he’s my only sibling and fluent in English (most guests are Swedish, but Fiance is Canadian) it was a pretty easy choice. I guess the only one that could have been feeling slighted would be FI’s sister, but we asked her to sing during the ceremony to avoid that (plus she’s a phenomenal performer).
If you have two reading, why don’t you ask the twins to be in charge of one each? I think that would be very sweet.

We are having our mothers do the readings.

I am having my stepmom and Future Father-In-Law do a reading. We wanted to make sure our family felt as appreciated as possible.
At a recent wedding, I saw my 2 friends do one reading (“love is kind”..) they switched lines. It was really nice!
