    US! SO STOKED!

We often spend our days off watching all of the extended editions in order. We watched Fellowship a few days ago just for fun and as soon as SO stops playing Halo I want to watch Two Towers. :[

We are going with all my work friends! I’m really excited because we have tickets to Cinema Suites, which is 21+ only, serves food and booze, plus our seats are saved so we don’t have to get there super early. I think Darling Husband is more excited than me but I am looking forward to seeing the movie.

Oh my gosh I am such a Tolkien nerd!  (Well not one of those who’s memorized the Similarion, etc…)  I read the Hobbit in 2nd grade and it was my favorite book for ages.  Can’t wait to see it!!  I thought the LOTR movies were pretty damn excellent.

Do you guys think it’s a little silly they’re making THREE MOVIES out of the Hobbit, though?  I mean, it’s not that long of a book…  It seems a little profit-greedy to me.

@lolot:  Consider checking out the silmarillion, it’s a little dry and textbooky but there’s some awesome stories in there!

And yeah, I’m a little :-/ about it. I know they’re including other middle-earth things that were happening at the same time but not in the hobbit book (they’re in other reference materials about things other characters were doing during bilbos adventures) which is AWE_SOME. But I wonder if it’ll still be enough.

If so I will be so happy about it though.

I probably would have seen it eventually, but I read that 27 of the animals intended for use in the film died, most due to negligence. I mean, 27 is a LOT. I probably won’t bother seeing it now, i’d be watching and wondering which of the horses broke it’s back, which goat was killed, which chickens were eaten by dogs.. I think i’ll pass.
