@Mrs.Lonestar: ehh, what is No Poo!?! :- lol I’ve seen that term a few times but what the heck? haha
I’m growing out my hair too! I’ve always had long hair but around July/August/September sometime I had a horrrrrrrrrible haircut. I mean this lady REALLY butchered my hair beyond recognition. Still recovering from it. But I’ve proclaimed that I will not TOUCH my hair (except for trimming occasionally and dying) until Wedding day. Which is projected to be 2013. I straighten my hair and color it so it’s becoming more brittle as far as the split ends go…once it gets a little longer I’m going to stop straightening it too. Yiiiikes.

I’m finally almost done! Lol. It won’t be quite as long as I had hoped, but it’s still the longest I have had it since I was like 14.
I took/take Biotin supplements – they really have helped my skin and nails as well as my hair! Also, I use a deep conditioner once or twice a week.
Interestingly, the issues I had when my hair was shorter (frizzies, too much volume) have gone away because the weight of the length has pulled it down. Now the only product I use is leave-in conditioner sometimes.
I’ve stopped using as much heat on it as much as that pains me. I’d say it grew from 1/2 to 1 inch per month. I think the worst part was having to get the ends cut off and losing that length, but hey, it kept it healthy.
ETA: In the interest of full disclosure, I HATE IT. Lol. My hair being long means it’s a huge pain in the butt. I have extremely thick, wavy hair and it’s just….annoying. I’m soooooo ready for my PWC. I’m going to donate. 🙂

I didn’t use anything special but I did grow it out. I was due for a haircut when we proposed and I just decided not to cut it for the next year and a half! 10 inches later, my hair was the perfect length for the style I origionaly wanted. I changed it last minute to something else but if I hadn’t have grown out my hair, it wouldn’t have been long enough to even do that!
