Who is losing weight for their wedding and if so, whats your plan?
I have been for the past 5 months, gym 5-6 days a week for atleast an hour, watching my portions, multiple small meals instead of few heavy. I have also been ‘enjoying’ myself on the weekends so I can still eat what I like and not only worry about the weight loss.
I started at 138lbs and I am at 116lbs.
I am, but I have two years to lose around 50-55 pounds.
When I met Fiance, I was a good 110lbs, at 5′ 4″. Now I weigh almost 160. It’s mainly due to lots of stress, medical issues, etc. I just really hope I can get the weight down. Going from being skinny for my entire life to thicker and unhealthy kinda bums me out, but Fiance is super supportive.
I’m planning to lose the weight by exercise (limited due to my severe asthma, however) and a healthy diet of fruit, vegetables, lean meats, and little to no grains and dairy.

I put on my dress (purchased late last year) to show my mother and was dismayed to find it too tight across the bodice. I’ve gained nearly a full dress size, argh.
I needeith lose the weight by late September (and/or scramble for a backup dress)
Im 4’9″ about 53kgs and want to be at least 47kgs.
wedding is in february, i plan to eat healthy and gym 3-5 times a week – depending on how my shifts permit (:
I actually lost weight about half a year before I got engaged, knowing that i would likely be getting engaged soon. I went on the Paleo diet. I encourage you to look it up for the specs, but it is basically a no sugar, no dairy, no wheat diet. I stuck to it for a few months with daily exercise and lost 30 pounds. I mostly did cardio, but I also did a little weight training. Now I have my dress (a size 6!!! down from a size 12), so I am just maintaining my weight. I thought that would be hard, but I have had my dress since January (it is now July), and I am still the exact same weight. I now have a full year to go before my wedding. And yes, that means I got my dress a year and a half early.
If anything, I plan on losing just a little more weight because the dress is a little snug and it can always be taken in anyway. I know it has to be altered already because the bust is too big for me (I lost weight in my boobs, apparently). So, I am just sticking to the Paleo diet and working out, but not as hard core as I did to lose the bulk of the weight.
I have to lose weight before my wedding in November. My first dress fitting was a bit scary (it zipped – but it was pretttty snug lol)
I am planning on hitting the gym a 3-4x (spinning + interval training) a week and watch what I eat (minimize processed carbs and up the veggies/lean protein intake).
Since I haven’t been watching what I eat and was extremely sedentary, I hope these adjustments will be sufficient!
I figure if I don’t have much progress by the end of August, I’ll have to buckledown and start counting calories and log more gym hours….
I’m a waiting bee, but I started running about a month ago. I run between 2-3 miles 4 or 5 times a week and work with weights three times a week. I’ve cut soda and coffee from my diet and have been trying to eat better. I’m 5’3” and weigh 170. The weight I’m happiest at is around 140. If I don’t start to see results, I will be more diligent about watching what I eat. But I’m feeling more confident and I have a lot energy, so I’m happy right now.
I lost 30 lbs almost a year ago and I have gain 10 lbs back in the last 2 months since I switched jobs and I sit on my butt the whole day instead of retail. I need to lose this 10 lbs. My dress fits so that isnt the issue its just I want to be back down. My face will be thinner and I will look better in pics. I started working out a week ago and eating healthy again. I workout 1- 1 1/2 hours a day everyday except sunday since my gym is closed. I weighed myself today and I had gained almost a pound…..really. I know its muscle gain since Im hitting the weights to tone my back and arms but grrr!!!!! I do around a hour of cardio and the rest of the time i use the weight training machines. I feel less bloated but its discouraging to see the scale going up instead of down in my first week back.
Fiance and I justed started P90X and it’s intense. We don’t want to lose much weight (5-10lbs) but just get fit and toned for the honeymoon! Hopefully we can stick to it!
I’m a waiting bee but I’d like to lose about 5-10 lbs before my engagement in late summer/early fall and another 25-30 lbs before I get married early spring of next year.
I’ve lost about 30 lbs since October of last year by jogging and doing random ab work and also by eating breakfast and meal prep. I’ve fallen off the wagon quite a few times but I figure if really buckle down, I’ll be fine! Best of luck ladies 🙂
It’s crunch time for me, and I’d like to lose about 10lbs. and tone up in the next two months! Fiance and I were on a pretty strict diet/exercise regimen from Easter to Memorial Day (for our engagement pics) and I lost 12lbs. and he lost almost 30!! Since then, we’ve slacked off a little bit and it’s time to get back at it!!
I’m avoiding cheese, bread, pasta, butter, and booze like the plague! Replacing skim milk with almond milk, smoothies or steel-cut oats in the morning, healthy choice meal for lunch, and salad, tuna, or grilled chicken for dinner. Trying to eat lots of fruits and veggies and drinking tons of water!
We also just got groupons for an 8-week ‘Warrior-fit’ bootcamp. I’m really hoping that this will help to tone things up quickly! The class is 3x per week, and in-between I plan to do my trusty Jillian Michaels workouts, running, and spinning. I have my dress fitting and bachelorette party the first week of August, so I’m really under the gun to lose a few!!
Not specifically trying to lose weight, just trying to get healthy and tone up. I lost about 20lbs in 2 months a year and a half ago, so I just want to get back to being healthy and fit. We’re about to be moving, so I plan on starting my routine once we get moved into our new house/town. The last month has been very stressful so I just wanted to make sure I have a clean slate to start with. I want to do one of the ultimate resets/cleanses first and then begin my routine. I’ve got about 11 months until my wedding!
Actually, my wedding happened in February and I started working on losing weight immediately after. I have lost 30 pounds so far and am still going. There isn’t any secret formula, really. It’s just as simple as eating right and being active. 🙂
