No first look for us! My Fiance is way too big of a tradionalist & I want to have that moment when I first see him as I start walking down the aisle!

My wedding was just 4 days ago, and we did a first look. It was perfect! I saw his face light up, I even heard him gasp! Not sure why it would have been better during the ceremony in any way. I think this was better because it was private and quiet and we had time to slow down and really savor the moment. We could actually talk and hug and cuddle, which was really great since we were both so nervous lol! It was so magical and special, and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Plus, we had 3 hours to take pictures instead of just one (and better light too), and we could mingle with our guests during our cocktail hour instead. To each their own, though! 🙂

I was strictly against first look for the longest time and still don’t really want to do it.  It IS technically better for timelines and stuff, but I just can’t get on board.  I’ve been thinking of first looks that aren’t typical, which are so cheesy, IMO.  Tap Fiance on the shoulder? NO THANKS!

We are getting married at a historic church downtown and there some neat ideas I’ve had about us walking down the street towards each other *dramatic* or a REAL surprise and not tell Fiance whats going and I jump out of a corner or something.

Just some ideas, but walking down the aisle is such a moment…who wants to mess with that?

No first look for us. The pictures I have seen tend to look a little cheesy me thinks.

No first look here!!! No matter what other people say, you still kill that, “wow” moment. It’s just not the same. Nothing is more breath taking then you standing in the back of the  church before you start to walk and ALL eyes are on the bride, most important your soon to be husband, It’s just a special moment, I dunno…

We did NOT do a first look, I did however instruct our photographer to get his reaction seeing me come down the aisle.  It was totally priceless!

No first look for us!  To each her own, but it’s just not for us.

We’re not doing a first look either. I can totally understand why some couples would want to, but for some inexplicable reason I want the first time I see my beau to be when I’m walking down the aisle (and he agrees).

I am 95% certain we won’t be doing one either. Fiance is really against it and although I definitely see some benefits for the timeline, I know he wants that moment of seeing me for the first time walking down the aisle and I don’t want to take that away from him.

@kswiftbride:  No First Look here! We still had plenty of time for photos and to spend with our guests. We did a First Touch, which is what I think you’re describing. Here’s our pic for your inspiration:

I wanted, Fiance does not.  So, we won;t!  He hasn’t had many wins in the wedding process lol, so I am ok with it!

Us, we both disagree with first looks.
