I am 🙁 Not by much but I still have 4 months. I am still looking to see where I can cut back. Might be able to on the flowers. It’s hard when you have a vision to keep to your vision without sacrificing that vision.

@spoonoutmyheart: you really blew your budget… are they like rules, meant to be broken?

I am over budget but not quite as bad as you are. We started at wanting to keep it under $7000 but we are now looking at it being around $10,000. Not a huge difference but over budget nonetheless. $30,000 is about average so you are not completely off the mark. I bet it will be a gorgeous wedding!

What have you splurged on? I think it is hard to stay in budget, especially with the internet marketing so much cool stuff these days.

My goal was 10k, going to end closer to 17k including the honeymoon…I love weddingbee and other similar sites but it can be difficult to keep things in perspective sometimes on these sites.

In the beginning we said 30k but then found that 35k was more realistic.  Now that our guest list is over 200 we’ll probably be more around 40k (including travel) when everything is said and done.  Makes my stomach turn thinking how much that is!

Me.

I was supposed to to a Destination Wedding for $5000.00 including dresses and rings

Now I am at $6000.00 without the dress, accessories, shoes, ering, wedding bands, and a professional photographer.

Oh and that is if I am cutting our trip to ten days from 14.

If I want to go to another part of Mexico to stay in a beach hut for 4 days it’s up to about 7500

We started with $10,000. That was without researching the price of things. We ended up at $13,000, which I wasn’t happy with but whatever.
