We technically started TTC in April, however my body had other plans. We’ll likely have an actual shot at it in June/July, so I’m jumping on here!

Unfortunately, I have nothing really to distract me from it. I got blood taken today for some tests, and I’ll get the results on June 19th, when I suspect I’ll be put on clomid.

I’ve starting Provera tonight to jump start my cycle, since my last period started on Feb 15th.

We’re getting married in August, so that is when we’ll stop TTA.  Anyone else trying to price check things like daycare and family health insurance plans?  Shiz just got REAL!!!

Me! Well, we aren’t going to actively TTC. We’ll be “pulling the goalie” and all bets are off after the wedding (IN 12 DAYS OMG OMG OMG HEAVE HEAVE).

ETA: DaneLady, the price of adding FI/a baby onto my insurance is staggering. Once Fiance gets on my take home pay will drop by $600 per month. *faint*

@smores:  Too funny. I actually started charting last month and it really helped me become a little more sane (although a little INsane sometimes LOL). I wanted to make sure I was ovulating after coming off the pill, and it did help detect that yes, I was. I’m going to keep charting for now and just seeing what happens and how our timing is. I think if nothing happens by the fall then we’ll have to try EXTRA hard LOL!! It really helps to ensure you are doing all the BD’ing at the right time!

SO very exciting though. I’m trying to stop googling things like cute nurseries… LOL.

wow. The cost of health care in the US is staggering! I was jsut reading on another thread about it!

I’m in Canada, and I’m on DH’s plan, and the family plan is $75/pay.

I’m terrified to look at child care, becuase I know it’s crazy expensive. Fortunately, I think we’ll be able to get by with a part time sitter, since Darling Husband works shift work, and my new job will be 10-6.

I will be!  Our wedding is later this month, after the honeymoon we’ll be pulling the goalie too.  I probably won’t go too crazy over it for the first few months. We’re just going to see what happens for a while, and maybe in the fall if nothing’s happened I’ll start OPK-ing.

@anotherbee:  I started the health insurance thread… and I realized after a little more investigation that I was looking at the TOTAL cost for the premiums… not what MY cost would be.  I have since recovered from my heart attack.  It is much more reasonable!

I am worried about child care, and since both my mom & his mom smoke we are NOT going to ask either of them to babysit.  Neither of them works so it seems like it would be an ideal solution but I’d rather not be around smoke myself, much less subject a child to it all day πŸ™

@anotherbee:  I would consider giving up a limb for health care like that. For just me and Fiance it will be $600 for medical and dental per month, but adding a child bumps it to $900 per month. I could cry…

Have you guys thought about names or anything yet?

His middle name is James, which is also his grandfather’s & uncle’s name, so we’ll use James for the middle name.  We like Andrew James a lot πŸ™‚

My mom’s and grandma’s middle names are Jo Ann, so we like Emma Joanne for a girl.  I don’t like the two separate middle names as much, but I want to keep the family names as middle names.

We have a spare room that we intend to convert to a nursery, but we haven’t talked a lot about decorating.  I do NOT want to know the baby’s gender, I want it to be one of the few times life gets to give me a big surprise.  B really wants to know, so we’re still discussing whether or not we’ll find out and if we do, whether or not we’ll tell anyone.  We also don’t want to tell anyone the names, but I figure I can tell a shitton of interwebs strangers πŸ˜›
