@MrsCarnival:  Insane! I don’t know how much extra children will be, but it will be pennies, I’m sure. You’ll love this: I”m starting a new job on the 22nd and the company pays the premiums for me. The only thing I pay for is 30% of prescriptions. We’re going to coordinate benefits so whatever DH’s plan doesn’t t cover, mine will.

Asking our parents to babysit regularly is out of the question. My parent are getting quite old (close to 70) so they don’trant to run after a toddler, and DH’s parents live almost an hour away  and both smoke. Plus his mom has some anxiety sues and I just wouldn’t feel comfortable.

I’m hoping to just find a part time sitter. We’re also looking at the option of me having an in home day care, sine I have my certifications and a BA in psych to boot.

We have our boy’s name picked out: Hunter Ryan (I’ve loved hunter for years and Ryan is DH’s name) although I would also love Warren as a middle name (my granpie’s name) butit’ll probably end up as a second boy’s middle if we have 2.

we’re undecided on a girl’s name (read: DH is not on board with my top choices). I live Olivia and Hannah, and he likes AVa, Alexis and Quinn. Quinn is growing onme, but I’m having a hard time giving up on Olivia…..

Me! I’m a regular poster but this is my TTC name. We pulled the goalie this month. We’re going to ease into TTC. If nothing happens by August/September, I may start charting.

As you can tell by my username, I’m excited and scared to start TTC!!!

@DaneLady:  Me too…. I don’t understand why DH doesn’t love it! I have dreams about calling my little girl Livy as a nick name….

I started charting when I came off BCP this past winter, but once I got the hang of it (and actually ovulated!!) I took a charting break.  I’ve just started back up to track a few cycles before we actually get started, but I’m definitely getting really excited!  We have not told many people that we even decided to have kids at all, as I was on the fence about the whole thing.  I’ll have to tell everyone on here everything so I don’t burst & blurt it out in real life 🙂  I told my sister, and he told one of his best friends, and there is another couple we’ll tell soon… I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid in their wedding in January, in IRELAND!  If we wait until August and it works the first time, I will still be able to fly overseas, and even better- I should be over any morning sickness *fingers crossed!!*

@anotherbee:  I can’t even fathom how nice it must be to have low costs like that. Even with the $600 a month we will pay in premiums we will still have an annual out of pocket maximum of $2000 additional.

I don’t even know what we’ll do for daycare. My current takehome is $2600 per month.

Drop that to $2000 after I add Fiance, then drop to $1700 after the first kid. Will I seriously be working for roughly $700 a month (assuming we can find a dirt-cheap home daycare for $1000 per month) and health benefits? Depressing.

Me staying home isn’t an option because FI’s employer doesn’t offer health care coverage.

Ugh, it’s crazy! Once we have two, I doubit’ll be worth it for me to go back to work because of daycare. Lots of people here find that going back to work only covers daycare costs, suits not really worth it. We will onlyhe having two, and I’m hoping that the first will be 3 before the second goes to daycare, as the cost goes way down for preschoolers as opposed totoddlers…

You guys have talked a little about it, so I’ll give you mystory:

Pulled the gol

Alioe after the wedding in aug and I’ve been charting ever sine. I’m not ovulating, hence the bloodworm and potential clomid in June/july

We’re looking at starting in June/July – I’m excited and nervous as well.  Glad that there are ppl who are in similiar circumstances to ask questions.  This will be my first month off birth control in years and I’m hoping my body will readjust quickly.  No names picked out yet.  Has anyone looked into how much prenatal care is on insurance?  I have not yet…

Beginning in June here! I wasn’t planning on charting but I might have to cause my cycles have been all crazy since coming off the pill. I just want to know when to expect my period! Lol we originally wanted to start trying end of summer/ beginning of fall, but officially pulling the goalie in June and seeing what happens.

End of June/beginning of July for us – I think I’ll stop taking the pill on our wedding day.  It seems like life is just rushing at me right now, all at once, but I’m okay with that!  I’m starting to think about what to do to prepare…I’ve been taking my folic acid for a year now, trying to step up the exercise and get more fit before pregnancy…any other tips?

We are TTC now. Originally we were going to wait a few months, but it just happened one day so we can go with it.

I am dying to just go ahead and take a pregnancy test but I have to wait a few more days.

We decided to start in April as well, but I don’t think it stuck this time around.  I have a slight feeling I’m not actually ovulating, so that’ll be fun to find out.

I’ll know for sure this week or not if I got preggers this time, but if not, we’ll start some more BD this month!  =)

@ms lovestruck:  I was JUST looking at insurance stuff yesterday!  I work for a health system, but I’m a veteran so I opted out of their healthcare plan.  When we get married, I’ll enroll in our benefits program so I’m ready to roll as far as TTC!

@skipper2010:  I came off the pill last fall-ish… and it took a while for my cycles to regulate (and they’re not completely regular now).  I started charting to make sure I was ovulating, and it did take about 2-3 months before I ovulated.  I O’d for the next 2-3 months, then I quit charting because we weren’t TTC yet.  I started taking my temp every morning this cycle, so I can track things for about 3 months, then we’re kicking the goalie out of the game!

@dickinson:  I’m an avid exerciser, and marathon runner… I was kind of wondering as well, like how much exercise/running should I do or avoid.  I plan to have a very active pregnancy, and do still intend to do a marathon in November (or half marathon if my training doesn’t go as planned) but I guess I’ll just have to play it by ear!

We are too!  I’m not the most patient person, at least not when it comes to things like this, so I hope we succeed soon 🙂  Although after coming off of BC two months ago, I’ve been on crazy cycles (or really just one crazy long period it seems like), so it’s pretty likely that it might take a little while.

I’m totally stalking all TTC/pregnancy boards on here though, and can’t wait to join in!

wow, excuse all the typos from last night! I was on my ipad!

It’s crazy that we already have 2 ladies getting ready to POAS! Good luck ladies!

@skipper2010:  I’ve been charting since I came off the pill in Aug, and my cycles have been annov. They were averaging around 40 days, and then I o’d in Feb and had a 49 day cycle. But then everything went to hell. I’m currently on CD 84 or something crazy like that.

But I started Provera last night to kick start my system. I’ll like be put on clomid in June to start oing, and then we’ll go from there! It sucks when you have annov cycles. Super frustrating that there is nothing you can do!

I plan to start exercising a bit more, so hopefully that will help.

@DaneLady:  I think that as long as you are active before you’re KU, you can keep up a fairly active life style afterwards. A friend of mine ran 10k while 6 mos preggers. I think you’ll get into trouble if you try to step it up AFTER youre’ KU.

@LAZB:  Welcome! I’m super impatient too, and totally stalk all the boards too. Makes me feel a little bit closer to getting KU!
